In 1937, Nanjing, a city with a rudimentary scale, ushered in a tragic history, and the fall of Nanjing on December 13 became a scar that we cannot forget.
84 years ago today, under the bestial behavior of the Japanese invaders, in just six weeks, we lost more than 300,000 compatriots, and Japan still has not apologized for its mistakes, but has tried to revise the history books to erase this history.
Eighth National Day of Public Worship
The Nanjing Massacre, which shocked China and foreign countries, brought a devastating blow to the Nanjing masses at that time, brought us eternal scars, and every year we will mourn them and nail the Japanese invaders to the pillar of shame.
In June 1937, more than 1 million compatriots lived in Nanjing, but after the fall of Nanjing, a living life died every 12 seconds during the dark six weeks, and by the end of February 1938, the registered population of the city after a bloody and violent baptism was only 170,000 people.
On February 27, 2014, the Seventh Session of the Standing Committee of the Twelfth National People's Congress of China passed the decision to set up December 13 every year as the National Day of Commemoration for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre, and today is our eighth National Day of Public Sacrifice.
Fewer than 70 survivors of the Nanjing Massacre
In the past 84 years, we have stood up from the recent history of being beaten, and in the face of the ever-changing international environment, we have the ability to defend our dignity, but for the survivors who survived this man-made disaster, the scenes in our minds are constantly repeated.
Mass shootings, pregnant women, trampling children to death, these demonic means have become the memories of our compatriots today, and only by remembering the painful history can we cherish the present even more.
Survivors are the records of the real existence left by history, and in the memories of 84 years, they have never stopped telling and telling more people what they have seen.
Another 11 survivors left us this year, and only 61 of them are registered now, but I believe that the precious images they leave behind will always follow us and witness a richer and stronger society.
The pain of the homeland will never be forgotten
Looking back on that humiliating history, many people are wondering, what kind of will has made the predecessors step by step to the present? They do not know what the road ahead is, but they have been insisting on the happiness of the Chinese people, adhering to the concept of "we do not fight the younger generations but also fight", and successfully made China stand up in just a few decades.
Today's China is no longer what it used to be, and it is necessary to strengthen the corresponding patriotic education for survivors and national disaster days, which is the focus of the future, and the national shame and the people's martyrdom must not be forgotten.
The revolutionary martyrs and national heroes who sacrificed their lives in the war are the backbones that support the Chinese nation, and it is they who are not afraid of life and death and suffering in the cruel fires of war, and have created a glimmer of life for us; it is their sacrifice and dedication that have enabled us to live a peaceful and happy life today.
Nanjing Jiangdongmen Memorial Hall
In the city of Nanjing, there is a historical memorial hall that records this grief, and many people call it the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall, but this is not true, its full name is the Nanjing Massacre Compatriots Memorial Hall of the Japanese Invasion of China, which can be called the Nanjing Jiangdongmen Memorial Hall.
Every year on national memorial day, the sound of the mournful siren will serve as the background sound of the whole country, and the bell of peace that rings in the ears will reverberate for a long time in the memorial square.
On August 31, 2017, Nanjing directly applied for it to become the 169th international city of peace. It is also the first city in China to join the International Association for Peaceful Cities.
When we entered from Gate 1, we saw a broken saber, but when we looked down at the entire memorial from a high altitude, it became a boat of peace, symbolizing remembering history and cherishing peace.
The Memorial Hall of compatriots killed in the Nanjing Massacre of the Japanese Invasion of China is The first memorial hall of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression in China, which has been preserved with this memory since 1985 and was established on the site of the Jiangdongmen mass massacre and the "mass grave" burial ground.
The memorial hall contains nearly 4,000 photos, 9,992 various cultural relics, and 262 video materials, which make a complete exposition of this history.

Today is a special day, the whole people are mourning the three hundred thousand compatriots who have passed away, and the sirens and thoughts cannot be forgotten for a long time, which is a normal reaction of a person to face the Day of National Suffering, remembering that period of history, especially the lessons learned.
History is the best textbook, we have been reduced from a powerful nation to a past of being bullied, from the eight parties to the invasion of the Eight-Nation Alliance, these are all historical marks that cannot be erased, and countless great people have said similar words, and backwardness will be beaten.
History written with blood is the national shame that should not be forgotten: "Peace without forgetting danger, survival without forgetting death, governance without forgetting chaos", the deceased is in the past, forever in the hearts of the people, this is the humanity and justice of a nation. The living move forward and look forward to the future, which is the light and hope of a country.
The ceremony of public sacrifice for the compatriots who died in the Nanjing Massacre is to arouse the yearning and adherence of every kind person to peace, and today we have not forgotten the suffering of the past, and we will always adhere to the concept of peace.
Until now, China has created a development miracle that has attracted worldwide attention, which is not the deepest tribute to history and the best consolation to the ancestors!
