The "Ali female employee sexual assault case" has fermented to this point, and netizens have already formed three mainstream public opinions. Some people believe that Zhou Mou lied a lot, intending to extort money, and that being fired was purely deserved. Some people also hold the opposite opinion, believing that Zhou Mou is one of the epitomes of women encountering unspoken rules in the workplace, and Ali's termination of the labor contract has violated her legitimate rights and interests. There are also many people who believe that although Zhou's statement is suspicious, it does not mean that he has not suffered injustice.

However, there is also a shadow of entertaining the event in the voices of the discussion. On platforms such as Zhihu and Hupu, the case has become a "terrier" for some netizens to play with each other, which is used to make fun of "female boxing behavior". In stark contrast, on platforms such as Douban, the case and some out-of-the-box comments have been used by some netizens to attack the male group.

In fact, this phenomenon is not uncommon in recent years. All social hot spots involving both sexes are extremely easy to become a field of public opinion that sets off antagonism between men and women. These voices are filled with all kinds of incomprehensible words, and the words are full of extreme emotions, and the sentences are not separated from gender. There is a miasma everywhere on the Internet, and the space for rational discussion is repeatedly squeezed.

However, these discussions are only emotional expressions, and in essence do not focus on the events themselves, but expand and radicalize individual factors. On the surface, these people seem to be most concerned about gender topics, but in fact, they have personally hollowed out gender topics into shelves, lost the care of human nature, and provoked the patience of the public again and again. Imagine that when all social events are reduced to springboards for male and female antagonisms, catharsis for negative emotions, and carnivals for playing with terriers, then what is the value of the events themselves?

More importantly, no matter which kind of voice, the core should be concerned about the common well-being of all mankind, such as equality, fairness and justice for all. It should not be the privilege of a certain group, and it should not be just to meet their own entertainment needs and vent negative emotions.

Therefore, when we put our attention back to the dismissal of Ali's female employees, we should realize that the focus of the incident is whether Ali's behavior is reasonable and legal, and whether it violates the rights and interests of Zhou. How can the rights and interests of female workers be better protected after this incident? How should unreasonable table culture be avoided?

If we limit this event to an entertaining, one-sided, and extremely ineffective discussion, it will be difficult for us to see the deeper, more meaningful, and more valuable discussion space behind it.
