Grandpa Nice – Michael Rosen
If you regularly browse the Internet, you will be familiar with this old gentleman with a relaxed expression and a kind voice. He's Grandpa Nice, who's all over the internet, do you know who he is and what his experiences are? Talk to you today about this elderly gentleman.
Born in 1946 in Harrow, England, Grandpa Nice is a well-written children's writer who has published more than 140 books. His books were very popular, and many Britons grew up watching his books. But what is surprising is that while bringing joy to generations of British children, Mr. Rosen's own life is not so satisfactory.
The Book of Sorrows, a book of healing
In 1999, one of his children suddenly developed a high fever and neglected treatment, resulting in the death of meningitis at the age of 18. As a result of this experience, Rosen wrote about his grief in the Book of Sorrows, a strange book of outward frustration and healing at heart, inspiring readers to constantly confront indifference, numbness, and forgetting.
The COVID-19 pandemic that has swept the world has also affected Rosen himself. After contracting the new crown, he lay in the ICU for dozens of days, and although he was finally killed, his body suffered a huge blow. Of course, Rosen himself was not overwhelmed by the disease, and still wrote this experience into a book, bringing joy and comfort to the reader.
A strong and optimistic English gentleman
Only those who have experienced pain and suffering can understand the preciousness of happiness, only strong-willed people can laugh at the misfortunes in life, and Nice Grandpa Rosen is such a strong and optimistic British gentleman.
