The City Museum is a light boat that burns history and carries the future in the city, which reflects the inner essence and characteristics of the city, and also infiltrates the character and feelings of people in the city. Under the ardent expectations of the people of Shenyang, the Shenyang Museum will officially open on December 21.
The museum is located at No. 363, Shifu Road, Shenhe District, Shenyang City.
As a national historical and cultural city, Shenyang has never had a comprehensive museum that reflects the history of the city. The Shenyang Municipal Party Committee and the Shenyang Municipal Government attach great importance to this, and write the Shenyang Museum into the government work report as an important work to meet the cultural needs of the people, and include it in the important content of doing practical things for the masses in the city. In September 2017, with the approval of the provincial government, the former Liaoning Museum and Comprehensive Business Building was transferred to the Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Television News and Publications as the site of the Shenyang Museum. After three years of renovation and exhibition projects, Shenyang Museum finally has the conditions for opening.
The new Shenyang Museum is a comprehensive museum that comprehensively reflects the regional history and culture of Shenyang, with a construction area of about 22,000 square meters, a total of more than 2,535 pieces (sets) of cultural relics, and the more representative ones are Liao Dynasty gold masks, Liaobai glazed black animal pattern plum vases, Liaobai glazed brown flower pattern plum vases, Ming bronze gilded seated statues of Shakyamuni Buddha, Ming Jiajing blue and white yunlong Xiangfeng cloud crane pattern lid jars, Ming Xuande furnace, etc. It will systematically display the history of human civilization in Shenyang since 110,000 years and the history of Shenyang's founding since 2300 years.
The second floor of Shenyang Museum is the exhibition "Shenyang History Exhibition", which is divided into three exhibition halls: Shenyang Yuanliu, Tianju Shengjing, and Modern Fengyun, which tells the history and culture of Shenyang over the past 110,000 years;
The first floor is set up as a Qing culture theme exhibition, with "Palace Garden Utensils Huan Cai Ning Xiang - Shenyang Imperial Palace Hidden Qing Palace Enamel Ware Exhibition" and "Great Instrument Seiko - Shenyang Imperial Palace Tibetan Qing Dynasty Court Furniture Exhibition", focusing on the gorgeous and rich treasures of the Shengjing Palace;
There are two exhibition halls on the third floor, "Brilliant Fusion - Collection of Fine Works of the Liaohe River Basin Museum" exhibition collects more than 450 sets of high-grade cultural relics from 21 museums in the Liaohe River Basin, telling the thousands of humanistic atmosphere of a big river, "Human Fireworks Caressing the Heart - Shenyang Museum Collection of Ming and Qing Folk Kiln Blue and White Porcelain Exhibition" through more than 240 sets of porcelain, the human fireworks are vividly reflected. The museum also has special service facilities such as a digital hall, a family education center, and a cultural and creative store.
Before the official opening of the museum, Shenyang Museum launched two projects, welcoming the active participation of the general public to jointly create a "people's museum" in the true sense.
The first is the ongoing Shenyang Museum 'Million Collection Plan', which strives to collect one million pieces of Shenyang citizens' daily life collections within five to ten years, establish a deep emotional connection with one million Shenyang families, and issue Shenyang Museum collection certificates to one million ordinary citizens.
The second is the recruitment of volunteers for the Shenyang Museum, which welcomes enthusiastic citizens, enterprises and institutions and non-governmental organizations to actively participate in the development and construction of the museum.
During the epidemic prevention and control period, Shenyang Museum only provides personal network real-name reservation channels, with a daily limit of 2,000 people.
You can make a reservation in advance through the Meituan and Ctrip platforms. After the reservation is successful, you can enter the museum with the appointment SMS, valid ID and health code. Visitors who have not successfully made an appointment will not be allowed to enter the museum.
