If in peacetime, Shi Pu might have grown up happily, started a family, married and had children. However, in that turbulent era, when the aggressors were rampant and did nothing wrong, the young Shi Pu's heart was ignited with hatred and anger against the barbaric aggression of Japanese imperialism and the brutal rule of the Warlords of the Fengzhi Clan.

In 1929, Shi Pu came to Nanjing with the ambition of seeking truth to achieve happiness for the suffering people of Northeast China, and was admitted to Jinling University with his friend Chen Jingxing.

At Jinling University, Shi Pu joined the Communist Party of China. After joining the party, Shi Pu's revolutionary enthusiasm was even higher: he ran around to establish the Nanjing Freedom Movement Grand League, resisted pressure, and signed the announcement of the establishment of the Grand League of the Freedom Movement in the school; he and his comrades actively carried out the party's underground activities inside and outside the school, often contacting or carrying out work at the Central University, Xiaozhuang Normal School, and other schools; in the dead of night, he also went to the streets and alleys to post revolutionary slogans, distribute leaflets, and expose the dark rule of imperialism and the Kuomintang. Driven by Shi Pu and his comrades, the party branch of Jinling University has become a strong force in the Nanjing Underground Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Firm and unyielding, death is like a homecoming
In 1930, Lu Daqing, a traffic officer of the Nanjing Municipal Party Committee, defected after being arrested, and at a critical juncture, Shi Pu first thought of the safety of others, and he managed to send an urgent telegram to Jin Dingming, who was vacationing at home in the northeast, warning: "Don't come to Beijing, sue Zheng." Zheng is Zheng Fuze, and Shi Pu's brave actions protect the two comrades-in-arms, so although they are wanted, they are able to escape danger. However, a few days later, Chen Jingxing and Shi Pu, who were firmly in Nanjing, were arrested one after another.

Shi Pu in prison is unyielding, treating death as a homecoming, leaving the enemy helpless. In the early morning of September 4, 1930, the enemy escorted Shi Pu and others to the Yuhuatai execution ground, when Shi Pu was less than 18 years old and could not be sentenced to capital punishment according to law, but the enemy shamelessly changed his age to 19 years old, poisoned him fiercely, and finally Shi Pu spilled blood on Yuhuatai.
