Barbosa: At Inter they didn't let me play or leave

Barbosa, 25, moved from Santos to Inter for €29.5 million in the summer of 2016, but he has only made 10 appearances for the Nerazzurri's first team, scoring just one goal. After playing for Benfica, Santos and Flamengo on loan, Inter sold the Brazilian star to Flamengo for €17.4 million in January 2020.

"I'm the one who decides my future, and whether I like it or not, that's my life. I don't regret going back to Brazil, I thought I was going to come back in Europe, but Inter has always been a thorn in my side because I couldn't play and they wouldn't let me go. Barbosa said.

"I said I was only 18 at the time and I had to play. Then I got the chance to go to Benfica and I told my agent: 'It works anywhere, but I don't want to stay at Inter.' ’”

"It was clear then that if I came back to Brazil I would be the top scorer in the league. Inter wouldn't let me do what I wanted to do, I always wanted to go back to Santos, that was always something I longed for, but I didn't get that opportunity at the time. At that time I also talked to Corinthians, São Paulo and other teams, I wanted to go back to Brazil, I got an offer from Spain, but I wanted to come back to Brazil. "#Inter Milan #Inter Milan ##转会 #
