Huawei was once the number one mobile phone market in Russia. The former overlord Samsung mobile phones accounted for 26.5% of the market share in the first quarter of Russia, which is also more than a quarter.

The turning point was in the third quarter of last year, because Huawei and Honor could not buy chips and supply chips because of the US ban, so the market share of mobile phones in Russia fell sharply. On top of it is a Samsung phone. That is to say, the first place in the Russian mobile phone market, Huawei in 2019 and Samsung in 2020. In the third quarter, Samsung's mobile phones accounted for more than Huawei's, at one point close to 30%.

However, according to the analysis of foreign market research agency Counterpoint Research, Huawei's smartphones are still the first in the Russian online market, with Russian smartphone sales increasing by 5% in the third quarter of 2020, and the share of online sales increased by 34% due to the impact of the new crown epidemic, of which Huawei is the number one brand in online sales, followed by Xiaomi, Samsung and Apple.
