On the afternoon of November 21, when the temperature dropped to 10 degrees Celsius, farmer Wang Xuemin was picking tomatoes in a warm greenhouse at the Xingnong Hulk High-quality Vegetable Planting Base in Xiaoxinji Township, Mengcheng County, Anhui Province.

Tomatoes planted in late August are entering the harvest period, and red lantern-like tomatoes dot the green bushes of seedlings.

"This shed has more than 3 acres of land, and can pick thousands of catties a day." Wang Xuemin said, "Tired is tired, but the heart is happy, this year's tomato market is good, the price is high, one can sell more than one piece." ”

The tomato varieties were introduced from Shouguang, Shandong, and adopted the modern planting mode of winter warm intelligent arch shed and water and fertilizer integration. "The tomatoes grown in this way have good fruit shapes, high yields, sweet and sour taste, and are juicy with 'sand', which is 'the taste of childhood'." Wang Xuemin took a bite, pink "sand", pink juice, her face was full of smiles.

The greenhouse was rented by Wang Xuemin from Xingnong Hulk Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., and the company provided guidance and help for the whole process of planting, which solved all her worries.

"The yield per mu is about 20,000 catties, and in addition to the cost, it can make a net profit of about 20,000 yuan." Wang Xuemin said.

Ding Lei, a staff member of Xingnong Hulk Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., introduced that in 2020, the company innovated and launched the "cooperative co-production remuneration" model: a part of the built high-end facilities greenhouses are leased to farmers for operation, the enterprise is responsible for providing technology, seedlings, fertilizers, etc., and the local villagers rent greenhouses, responsible for the yield, quality and employment of agricultural products.

"At present, the company has transferred 550 acres of land, built 37 new winter warm arch sheds, most of which are leased to farmers for operation, with an average annual income of about 120,000 yuan; at the same time, more than 200 people have been employed." Ding Lei told reporters that the park is like an incubator, farmers in the park is not only employment but also entrepreneurship, while driving farmers to get rich, it will also "incubate" more and more "new farmers" who master modern agricultural technology.

The Outline Of the Yangtze River Delta Regional Integration Development Plan, issued in May 2019, brings the whole of Anhui into the planning scope. In September of the same year, Mengcheng County signed a contract with Shanghai Agricultural Products Wholesale Center Market Co., Ltd. to become the "main supply base for vegetables outside Shanghai".

While cultivating leading local agricultural enterprises, Mengcheng County has also introduced large agricultural technology companies, including Mengcheng Xingnong Hulk Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. "Xingnong is a local company in Mengcheng, and Hulk is a company in Shouguang, Shandong, and the two sides jointly fund the construction of a smart agricultural science and technology industrial park." Gao Hongqiang, deputy general manager of Mengcheng Xingnong Hulk Company, said, "At present, there are 21 shantytowns, which directly drive the employment of more than 200 people, and the average monthly income of each person is not less than 5,000 yuan." ”

At present, Xingnong Hulk tomatoes are mainly sold to wholesale markets and supermarkets in Shanghai and Nanjing, with a daily delivery volume of about 12,000 catties.

At 7 p.m. on November 21, in the warehouse of Xingnong Hulk Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., Wang Xuemin's freshly picked tomatoes were being loaded into a truck and ready to be sent to Shanghai.

Early the next morning, Wang Xuemin's tomatoes would appear in Shanghai's wet markets at a price of 5 yuan a catty.
