However, Nansha, a business card for viewing the sea, has not been opened since 2022.
At the beginning of last year, some citizens asked the district government when the Nansha Dajiaoshan Coastal Park would open?
At that time, the Nansha District Government replied that due to the existing projects under construction in the park, the construction period could not be clarified and could not be opened in the short term.
So, after 1 year, how is the current construction of the park? Is it expected to open this year?
It is understood that on March 4, 2022, the Nansha District Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau issued the "Announcement on the Suspension of the Opening of Binhai Park" due to the improvement of the flood control (tide) safety system of Binhai Park and the construction of a comprehensive demonstration area for coastal zone protection and utilization.
With a total investment of about 160 million yuan, the project will build a super ecological elevator in accordance with the flood control standard of once in 200 years, and polish the beautiful business card of Nansha city with a safer and more high-quality leisure and sightseeing experience.
The project includes the main embankment project and landscape engineering, and the tidal and flood control standard of the embankment is once in 200 years, and the project level is level 1. It is connected to the Veegoo Super Embankment in the west, and closed to the mountain near the north gate of the park in the east, forming a closed protective circle.
In addition to flood control (tidal) standards, projects such as coastal zone protection will be carried out to improve disaster resistance, improve various functions, enhance landscape effects, and plan to replant 4 hectares of mangrove forests.
On the premise of meeting the moisture-proof standards, in order to avoid causing the embankment to be too high and obstruct the view of the sea, combined with the topography of the park, the elevation of the embankment crest was reduced as much as possible, and the ecological embankment with three-level arrangement was adopted, and the landscape improvement design was carried out in five nodes.
According to the bidding documents for the "General Contracting for the Design and Construction of the Embankment Upgrading Project of Dajiao Mountain Coastal Park" issued in 2022, the total construction period of the park was planned to be 8 months at that time, and it was planned to start construction in October 2022 and complete it in May 2023.
However, according to the information of the Nansha Construction Center, in fact, the Dajiaoshan Coastal Park was enclosed for one year, and the renovation project will only start in March 2023.

The picture below is a picture taken by the tribe in May last year, and it can be seen that at that time, the fourth and fifth nodes of the Coastal Park had already built a green network and were ready for construction, while the rest of the nodes had not yet started.
It is worth mentioning that according to the latest tender documents, the construction period of the Big Cape Hill Esplanade Park is 385 calendar days, that is, it is expected to be completed in May this year.
However, recently, the tribe went to the site to check and found that the park should not be able to complete the renovation project in May...
As can be seen from the site map below, the section of the Grand Horn Hill Esplanade Park Garden Hotel-Convention and Exhibition Center, that is, nodes 1 and 2, is currently under enclosure construction, and the rest of the nodes seem to have been completed.
Hook machines and bulldozers are working hard, and most of the ground has been leveled, roughly trimming the shape of the greenway. However, there is still a need to pave cycling paths and plant flowers and trees, and judging from the progress, it is clear that it will not be able to reach the opening standard in the short term.

Although it is expected to be completed in May this year, it is clear that there is no hope of completion in May. As for the opening time, combined with the current construction progress, if it is fast, it is expected to open as a whole by the end of this year.
However, the tribe believes that the quality of the project is more important than the speed of the project. As one of the tourist cards of Nansha, I hope that Binhai Park will be more beautiful and fun after it is reopened.
