Frank Vogel said the Lakers "hope" to get LeBron James back "as soon as possible."

Frank Vogel provided an update on LeBron James and his abdominal strain today, but he declined to confirm whether James would be on the court or absent when the Lakers played against the Bulls tomorrow.

When asked he simply smiled and replied that James was still "everyday" — adding that he wasn't sure james needed to train before coming back.

"He looks good. He is able to move normally. He hasn't done the full exercise or touch yet, but he looks good in his personal work," Vogel said.

If he misses tomorrow's game against the Bulls, his next chance to return will be against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday as the Lakers embark on a five-game East Coast road trip.
