Born in 1880 in Anhui, Mr. Chen Xiaoning read the "Biography of the Immortals" when he was ten years old, and he germinated the idea of learning immortals. Later, Mr. Chen got tuberculosis, which is a chronic disease, and this disease will be with people for a lifetime. While insisting on treatment, Mr. Chen used a Taoist Dan Dao book he found to recuperate his body and mind, and actually slowly cured his tuberculosis. Seeing that the Taoist "stuff" was indeed effective, he devoted himself to the cultivation of the ancient Taoist Dan Dao.
In order to seek the Tao, Mr. Chen Xiaoning actually read the thousands of volumes of "Daozang" (a collection of Taoist classics, like the "Great Tibetan Classic" of Buddhism, it is not a sutra is all the sutras) in order to seek the Tao, and carefully studied these Daoist books in different categories. He also searched for teachers and friends in various places, traveled through forests and seas in the famous mountains and rivers, and visited many Taoist monks. During the period, although he did not achieve the goal, he also gained a little, such as he once met an old Taoist who "stopped in the pulse". Mr. Chen Xiaoning had studied Chinese medicine, so he was good at taking the pulse, and he personally verified the pulse of the old Taoist who "stopped the pulse", which proved that what he said was not false, and also proved that the Danjing in ancient China was not all made up. Here those who are not familiar with the Taoist Neidan technique may not understand what is called "pulse dwelling rest stop", the so-called "pulse dwell stop" is that the breathing and pulse have stopped, while people are alive and jumping, healthy and healthy, which is a characteristic of the advanced cultivation of kung fu, to this point to live for hundreds of years is not a problem, if you work harder, immortality is also possible. Why can "pulse dwelling" live so many years? This principle was disclosed by Mr. Chen Xiaoning in his book, and Mr. Chen believed that the reason why people die is because they cannot escape the manipulation of creation. There are only four elements on which I depend: air, food, heartbeat (including blood), and sleep. If people's cultivation skills can achieve the goal of not eating or drinking, not breathing, not beating their hearts, and not sleeping, they can gain permanent life, and they can talk about the short and long of the children who have created children.
Later, Mr. Chen Xiaoning met the "sword immortal" Liang Haibin, Liang is a swordsman, it is said that the sword method of cultivation is theosophical, with a sword into the Dao, a sword with a three-foot sword qi, really a first-class figure of the gods. Mr. Chen and Liang Haibin talked about the method of cultivation very speculatively, and later on the train the two sat opposite each other, Mr. Chen Xiaoning actually talked about a higher and more wonderful technique than Liang Haibin's sword technique, and Liang was shocked. Later, Liang Haibin disappeared, as if people had evaporated, and even the people with swords disappeared together. The trail of Liang Haibin became an unsolved mystery of the Taoist refining world. I had spent a long time scouring all kinds of materials, and finally I understood a little bit of the Sword Immortal Cultivation Method. The Sword Immortal needs to craft a three-inch-long silver (or iron?). I can't remember it clearly after a long time. The little sword, refining against the moon at night, also had to go to the steep cliffs in the mountains to pick a very rare grass, because it was very difficult to refine, so there was little success. Mr. Chen knows Chinese medicine, and Mr. Chen's wife is a Western doctor, and the two of them have opened a clinic in Shanghai. The immortal science advocated by Mr. Chen Xiaoning is also effective, and Mr. Chen Xiaoning's wife, who later had breast cancer, was found to be in advanced stages. Originally, he was bound to die, but Mr. Chen Xiaoning taught his wife to use the cultivation method of immortality to condition her body, and she had to live for several more years. Later, Mr. Chen ran a newspaper to promote immortal studies, and Mr. Chen felt that the Danjing Daoshu about women's Danfa was too rare, so he extensively annotated the Women's Danshu and opened a training class to teach apprentices. This should be the time when Mr. Chen Xiaoning's immortal science career is at its peak.
The War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression broke out, and Mr. Chen Had to stop the business of newspapers. He took a few Waidan classics with ordinary Daoist friends and carried them to the mountains of Wuhan to make gold and waidan. It took thousands of pounds of charcoal fire, and finally only a piece of red copper was refined into silver. Mr. Chen recalled that refining red copper into silver proved that the ancient Waidan classics were still credible in some places, but it was still inevitable that a short cut of silver that had been refined at so much cost was still a loss. Some people once saw the piece of silver that Mr. Chen had refined, but they didn't know where the silver that was extremely precious to Taoism was stored now.
After the liberation of the whole country, Mr. Chen Xiaoning was elected vice president of the Chinese Taoist Association and was elected president in 1961. He died in Beijing in 1969 at the age of 89.
Mr. Chen Xiaoning did not become an immortal in the end, because he eventually died. As for the depth of his kung fu and why the cultivation of immortals failed, there are still many opinions. Some people say that Mr. Chen Xiaoning is a theoretical school, but he only knows theory, but he can't do kung fu. Some people say that chengxian is a reward given to mortals by the gods, and it is contrary to the "divine will" to separate the cultivation of kung fu from Taoism and preach it alone. Some people say that "Chen Xiaoning is simply going astray." Some of Mr. Chen's fans said that Chen Xiaoning did not die, but the corpse was dissolved. More than that, Mr. Chen Xiaoning's "iron fans" swore that Chen Xiaoning was already a Great Luo Jinxian. But in any case, Mr. Chen Xiaoning's cultivation of immortals failed in the end, because he eventually died.
One of the most common sentences in the xianxue texts is "My fate is up to me", and it is very difficult to defeat the gods and Buddhas of the heavens and defeat the creation children. Although Mr. Chen Xiaoning failed in cultivating immortals, he made a big compilation of the Taoist classics that have been full of sweat and cattle in the past and the present, and also annotated and elaborated on many Danjing Daoist books that the citizens of Shengdou usually could not see, even if they saw and could not read, and a large number of practices and studies opened the way for later generations to move forward.
Although Mr. Chen Xiaoning's cultivation of immortals failed, his spirit will forever be remembered in history.
