"Speculating on the intention" deviates: the two folds anger Qianlong and almost lead to a catastrophe

author:A compendium of historical explorations

On March 18, 1781, in the forty-sixth year of Qianlong, Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty toured Wutai Mountain in the west and passed through Baoding. Yin Jiaquan, the former secretary of the Dali Temple, who had retired at home, sent his son to send two copies of the recital.

A terrible case began.

"Speculating on the intention" deviates: the two folds anger Qianlong and almost lead to a catastrophe

In April of the forty-sixth year of Qianlong (1781), Qianlong toured Wutai Mountain in the west and returned to Baoding when he returned to the capital. Yin Jiaquan, the former secretary of the Dali Temple, who had long since retired and dismissed, got this news, and his vanity was troubled, and he wanted to participate in the driving ceremony. He is not on the list of drivers who can be picked up. This Yin Jiayi racked his brains to participate, thinking about it, thinking of his father, the Taoist Yin Huiyi, thinking that he had found the most wonderful reason, so he drafted two recitals: one was to ask for the name of the emperor, and the other was to be from the temple. He thought that he was a double eagle with one stone, and if he got the emperor's permission, he would not only gain a reputation of filial piety himself, but also be able to enjoy the scenery. After writing these two folds, he asked his son to present the folds upwards and beautifully opened his dream of autumn at home.

Qianlong advocated filial piety and spared no effort, and Yin Hui's filial piety was widely known, and the emperor once gave a poem, which is not a typical example that should be publicized?

When you make an application, one satisfies your selfish desires - isn't Dad's honor your own honor? The second is to vote for the emperor's favor, killing two birds with one stone, why not enjoy it?

Unexpectedly, Ruyi's abacus was wrong.

When the Qianlong Emperor saw that Mr. Yin's two folds were completely based on his own selfish interests, he was immediately very angry, lifted up the Zhu pen, and approved: "It is the state's canon, how can you ask for it in vain?" This song should be punished by the ministry, and Nian Ru is the father's private affection, and is spared. If you are restless at home again, you will not be guilty! ”

If Yin Jiaquan had only made one recital at that time and seen the instructions, he would naturally be at peace.

Others were not enough to swallow the elephant, believing that the number of ten to nine was stable, and was not satisfied, and put forward a more "wild" request in the second recital.

"Speculating on the intention" deviates: the two folds anger Qianlong and almost lead to a catastrophe

As soon as the emperor put down his pen, he saw that the following was still Yin Jiaquan's recital.

He said that there were only one Confucian in the Yuan Dynasty and six in the Ming Dynasty, and there were only one Lu Longqi in this dynasty, except for the seventy-two disciples of Confucius, but only a few dozen people), and the current lu longqi in this dynasty is extremely incompatible with the Confucian achievements of this dynasty.

Therefore, it is suggested that Tang Bin, Li Guangdi, and Zhang Boxing (all of whom were great Confucians of the early Qing Dynasty) be added, as well as Fan Wencheng and Gu Badai (Fan and Gu all had no Reputation for Confucianism).

Of course, at the end, he shyly added the name of his father, Yin Huiyi.

Qianlong's Zhu Pi had a total of nine words: "It is unforgivable to bark wildly!" ”

The emperor felt that the situation was very serious, and immediately issued a very harsh long edict.

The holy parable is down, and this is easy to do. The officials in charge of the undertaking did their best to fabricate the charges, and charged Yin Jiaquan with "great disrespect," "false Taoism," "hypocrites," and so on, the most unforgivable of which was "ancient and rare crime." Because, Tianzi Qianlong has long made it clear to the world that he is an "ancient and rare old man" The title occupied by the Son of Heaven is something that the common people cannot touch, and the whole world does not shy away from the names of people and places. This Mr. Yin really ate the leopard's guts, and even risked the world's great disobedience, and dared to call himself an "ancient rare old man" to compete for the elegance of the Son of Heaven, which was really impatient.

In Emperor Gaozong's view, yin Huiyi was given a poem to praise Yin Huiyi, not because he really had any remarkable filial piety, but in order to motivate everyone, he was just a reason to use him. Now Yin Jiaquan actually asked for a special gift, but also to accompany the Confucius Temple, "so heartbroken, unscrupulous, why does he regard it as the Lord?" "Isn't this contempt for decay, thinking that it is incompetent and judgmentless?"

Yin Jiaquan was handed over to the judicial department, and the emperor issued an order to raid the house at the same time.

In terms of raiding homes, the Qing government was very experienced.

If it is an official, the general residence and hometown are raided at the same time, and the family and relatives are also stared at, and they are clean and thorough, leaving no dead ends. Although Yin is retired, he still has a residence in Beijing.

Therefore, in addition to instructing the governor directly under his command to immediately raid Yin Jiaquan's hometown in Baoding, Qianlong also used the urgent message of "six hundred miles a day" to send it to Beijing in the starry night, asking the cabinet university scholars who remained behind to "go to strictly check and strictly copy it immediately, and not to conceal the slightest concealment" in order to prevent the leakage of information and the early transfer of property.

Kang Qian was prosperous, Long Yan was angry, and he raided his home at every turn.

Officials in both places worked very hard.

In his home in Beijing, Yin Jiaquan was found to have "three hundred and eleven sets of books, 1,539 scattered books, one cabinet of unbound books, sixty-five albums of Fa Thesis, fifty-eight volumes of broken calligraphy, one package of letters, and 1,200 book boards (engravings for printing books)."

As a result of the review, various books need to make a detailed list, and the suspects in the books are "checked out one by one (stick-in)", and the original books are submitted and reviewed by the emperor himself.

It turns out that the emperor did have foresight, and Yin Jiaquan's writings were full of "unsightly" "barking".

Yin shi imitated Zhu Zi's "Records of the Words and Deeds of Famous Ministers of the Eight Dynasties" and wrote the "Records of Famous Ministers' Words and Deeds", collecting the words and deeds of Qing Dynasty ministers.

It is reasonable to say that this is to add bricks and tiles to the creation of a prosperous world - one of the signs of prosperity, should not it be a famous courtier? In what other era will it be a crime to honor a famous courtier?

The "Records of the Words and Deeds of Famous Ministers" includes Gao Shiqi, a rigger of Shengzu Xuanye, Gao Qi, Jiang Tingxi, Zhang Tingyu, and Ertai of the Yongzheng Dynasty, as well as Shi Yizhi, who had risen in the Yongzheng Dynasty but initially worshiped scholars in Qianlong. Of course, there is also his father Yin Huiyi.

The interrogation officers all retorted that none of them were qualified.

Yin Jiaquan finally realized that he had violated the taboo, and the core point was that the courtiers covered the coffin and concluded that only the official identification results were allowed. The so-called official conclusion is nothing more than the emperor's golden words.

The core concern of Qianlong in this case was this sentence in the lengthy edict that specifically criticized this book: "The discipline of this dynasty is rectified, and there are no nameless ministers, and there are no traitors!" ”

"Speculating on the intention" deviates: the two folds anger Qianlong and almost lead to a catastrophe

No adulterers, easy to understand. At that time, Ao Bai was arrogant, but was he not taken down by the young Saint Ancestor? The Great Qing Heavenly Son, the Holy Ming, the candle shines for thousands of miles, and the traitor appears slightly, and there is no doubt that the adulterer will be destroyed.

But how could this Qin and Han Dynasty, which had only seen and directly followed three generations of prosperity, not have famous ministers?

In the emperor's edict of nearly a thousand words, the emperor first pointed out that Yin Jiaquan's appointment of the cabinet university scholar as the prime minister was very absurd, because the dynasty "inherited the saints and the qiangang alone", all decisions were made by the emperor alone, and the university scholars were just senior secretaries. From the Holy Ancestor Kangxi Grandfather, the Father Emperor to the Emperor, and then to the Emperor, he personally worked hard for the well-being of the people of the world all the time, is there anything that still needs to rely on the assistance of university scholars? During his reign, Fu Heng had been a scholar for the longest time, and it was only to carry out Yuan's orders, do his duty, and not discount it. Now that he has been dead for more than ten years, is it impossible to make the country run without him?

Finally, it comes down to the issue of "famous ministers": the so-called famous ministers must have made indispensable and tremendous contributions to the prosperity and stability of the country, and they are well deserved. However, having this key role taken on by a courtier, rather than a monarch, actually means a major hidden danger for the state. Everything in our Great Qing Dynasty was decided by the emperor alone, and the traitors had no place to live, nor did they need famous ministers, which was the most ideal situation for a country and the blessing of the people of the whole world.

At this point, Yin Jiaquan's capital crime was unquestionable.

Final verdict: "In this broad daylight, this kind of scum cannot be restored by self-severance." Yin Jiaquan spared Him the crime of lingering and sentenced him to death by hanging. ”

Subsequently, a vigorous campaign was set off throughout the country to confiscate Yin Jiaquan's works, and even Yin's inscriptions and cliff carvings in various places were also shoveled and polished, and the Tuoben was recovered. It wasn't until December of that year that the campaign was largely over.

The story gets here and seems to end. However, according to the "Barnyard Banknotes", there are new records in the case. After saying that the Qianlong Emperor sentenced Yin Jiaquan to death, he was still unsatisfied, and sent Yin Jiaquan's friend to prepare a banquet and send him to prison to send him off. Yin Jiaquan's color remains unchanged, he is calm and self-assured, drinking wine and eating meat, not to mention. When the Qianlong Emperor heard the news, he summoned Yin Jiaquan, scolded him bitterly, and then spared him death and asked him to return to his hometown to farm.

The Qianlong Emperor asked again: What are your plans for the future?

Yin Jiaquan has long been very well-behaved by the case-handling personnel, answering: I am over 70 years old, only burn incense every day, plead with heaven to bless the saint, and strive to live to 100 years old, do not dare to interrupt a day.

The Qianlong Emperor laughed loudly: "Ru Shang wants to live to a hundred years?" Waving his hand to put Yin Jiaquan back.

The "Qing Barnyard Banknote" is a folk history, and the deeds recorded are not very credible, but I prefer to believe that this story is true.
