He has been rooted in the Taihang Mountains for 35 years, eating and working with farmers; he has studied the cultivation of forest fruits and led the team to achieve 28 research results; he relies on science and technology to drive 100,000 mountain farmers inside and outside the province to increase their income by 5.85 billion yuan. He is Li Baoguo, the recipient of the national honorary title of "People's Model", and is also affectionately known as the Peasant Professor.
Although Li Baoguo has left us, his spirit has always shone in the Taihang Mountains. At the Li Baoguo Science and Technology Museum in Lincheng County, Hebei Province, people remember Li Baoguo through exhibits such as scissors, cotton jackets, and shoes.
