On the day of the incident, the 30-year-old man and his two friends were fishing in a lake in the city of Blasilandia de Minas in southern Brazil, when they were suddenly attacked by bees, and the three jumped into the lake to take shelter. But after two of his friends swam back to safety, the man disappeared.

The local fire department rushed to the scene after receiving a call for help to help find the missing man, but when a firefighter was preparing to dive into the lake to find someone, he was told that there were piranhas everywhere in the lake. Eventually, the body of the missing man was found 4 metres from the shoreline of the lake, and authorities found his body eaten by piranhas.

But fire department officials revealed the man's body was found at a location where drowning cases often occur.

According to the Animal Horn website, the piranha, also known as the Piranha, is a ferocious freshwater fish that usually lives in the rivers and lakes of South America, but has also been introduced to other places by humans, including northern Brazil, Hawaii, and parts of Central and North America. They are known for having sharp teeth in both the upper and lower jaws and for their strong meat-loving appetite. Although piranhas occasionally bite, it is not common to inflict fatal attacks on people.
