Beijing News (reporter Zhou Huixiaowan) On December 23, a reporter from the Beijing News learned from director Jiang Ping that Li Meng, the actor of "Xiuying" in the movie "The Daughter of the Party" and an old artist of long-term film, died in Shanghai on December 17 at the age of 87. It is reported that Li Meng was particularly low-key before his death, and after retiring from Changying, he settled in Shanghai and lived a peaceful life in his later years.

Born in Shanghai in 1932, Li Meng graduated from Wuxi Jiangnan University and studied vocal music and dance at the school. In 1951, he was invited to shoot the film "Sister Sister Stand Up" at Shanghai Wenhua Film Company, playing the heroine Daxiang, who walked on the screen for the first time and left a deep impression on the audience. In 1953, he joined the Beijing Film Actors Troupe as an actor, and in 1955, he was transferred to Changchun Film Studio as an actor. He has successively filmed "The Story of Summer" (1955), "Ma Lan Blossom" (1956), "Daughter of the Party" (1958), "Ten Thousand Waters and a Thousand Mountains" (1959), "Big Guy" (1983), "No. 5 Garden Street" (1984) and other films.
