Xiahou Wei (born and died unknown) was a native of Peiguo (沛国谯, in modern Bozhou, Anhui). During the Three Kingdoms period, cao wei general, the fourth son of the general Xiahou Yuan of the Western Expedition, and the younger brother of the right general Xiahou Ba.
Xiahou Wei's young man already had a chivalrous demeanor and a deeper ability to judge people. As the fourth son of the Wei general Xiahou Yuan, he was very friendly with his sons Cao Pi and Cao Zhi at that time. When Xiahou Wei first saw the young Yang Hu, he thought that he was knowledgeable, literate, and good at talking, and admired him very much, so he came up with the idea to marry the daughter of his brother Xiahou Ba to Yang Hu, and later Yang Hu indeed became a generation of generals.
Later, Zhu Jianping, who was good at xiangshu, said to Xiahou Wei at Cao Pi's banquet: "When you are forty-nine years old, you will be able to ascend to the position of state pastor, but you will also encounter disasters, if you can survive this misfortune, then your life expectancy can reach seventy, and you will be able to reach gongfu on your career." ”
Xiahou Wei did indeed serve as the Assassin of Yanzhou at the age of forty-nine, and at the same time, he did suffer from a bad disease in early December of that year, and Xiahou Wei remembered Zhu Jianping's criticism that year, thinking that he would not be able to escape this misfortune, so he wrote a will and arranged a funeral in advance.
His condition suddenly deteriorated at the end of the same month, but unexpectedly it suddenly improved and gradually calmed down. Xiahou Wei thought that he had survived the crisis, and on the evening of December 30, he invited the county bureaucrats to set up a feast in his palace, saying: "My pain has gradually stabilized, when the chickens chirp tomorrow, I will be fifty years old, Zhu Jianping's precepts, I will certainly be able to get through." But when the feast dispersed, Xiahou Wei suddenly closed his eyes, and the evil disease in his body actually recurred, and he died in the middle of the night.
His son Xiahou Jun (夏侯君) was later the Assassin of Hezhou Prefecture. The second son, Xiahou Zhuang, later became the Taishou of Huainan, and Sun Xiahou Zhan, Xiahou Guangji, was prominent in Jin.
