"My Lady," the mirror said.

"Snow White is the most beautiful woman in the kingdom."

"Oh no! She's still（/stɪl/ adv. 仍然）alive（/əˈlaɪv/ adj. 活着的）!"

Dar waved（/weɪvd/ v. 揮手（wave的過去式）） good-bye to Snow White.

"Don't let anyone in!"

"Clothes for sale（/seɪl/ n. 銷售；出售）!" a voice（/vɔɪs/ n. 聲音；嗓音） called.

"Lovely, beautiful clothes!"

Snow White went to the window.

"Hello, miss!" the woman said.

"Would you like to buy something?"

"No, thank you," she said.

The woman pulled a fancy（/ˈfænsi/ adj. 精緻的，花俏的） coat out of a chest.

She stepped（/stept/ v. 踏；行走（step的過去式）） toward（ təˈwɔːd/ prep. 向） the house.

"This coat matches（ /'mætʃɪz/ v. 和…相配（match的三單）） your hair," she said.

Snow White gazed（/ɡeɪzd/ vi. 凝視；注視（gaze的過去式）） at the beautiful coat.

"Just （試穿它）," she said.

"There's no harm（ /hɑːm/ n. 傷害） in that."

The woman smiled.

She （舉起外套） for Snow White.

Suddenly the coat grew tight（ /taɪt/ adj. 緊的）.

It squeezed（/skwiːzd/ v. 擠壓 squeeze的過去式） her entire（ /ɪnˈtaɪə/ adj. 全部的，整個的） body（ /ˈbɒdi/ n. 身體）.

"Ahh!" Snow White cried. "I can't breathe（/briːð/ vi. 呼吸）!"

The woman laughed.

"Good-bye, Snow White!"

Then—poof（ /pʊf/ (表示某事突然發生)噗的一聲）! The woman vanished（ /ˈvænɪʃt/ v. 突然消失; 神秘失蹤 vanish的過去式）.
