Recently, the Annual Meeting of Editors of the National Drama Periodicals Alliance and the 35th Tian Han Drama Awards And Awards Organizing Committee sponsored by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Shanghai Theater Academy, the National Drama Periodicals Alliance, and the Tian Han Drama Award Organizing Committee were held at Jinjiang College of Sichuan University. The editors-in-chief of 25 periodicals from the National Drama Journals Alliance and the judges of the Tian Han Drama Awards have selected various awards of the 35th Tian Han Drama Awards in accordance with the selection rules of the Tian Han Drama Awards and through online and offline synchronization. The Hebei Wuzi modern drama "Taocheng Lane" created by the Hebei Zizi Troupe of Hengshui City won the 35th Tian Han Drama Awards Repertoire Finalist Award, which is the only play in Hebei Province to win the award.
"Taocheng Lane" is a modern play created by the Hebei Wuzi Opera Troupe in Hengshui City, which was funded by the Stage Art Boutique Project of the Hebei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism in 2018. In October 2020, under the guidance of the Publicity Department of the Hengshui Municipal Party Committee and the Hengshui Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism, the troupe overcame the impact of the epidemic and prepared rehearsals in many ways. Since the rehearsal of the play in October 2020, in just five months, the performance team has gone all out, strived for excellence, repeatedly deliberated on the plot and lyrics, and presented the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China with an original excellent repertoire of "bones, morality and temperature". On March 22, 2021, the play premiered at the Hengshui Poly Grand Theatre. With a story of compensation and debt repayment caused by a car accident, the drama promotes honesty and friendliness, calls for truth, goodness and beauty, and shows the spiritual outlook of the people in Hengshui Moral Highland and the fruitful results of the creation of spiritual civilization. The high-pitched and passionate Hebei Zizi sings and the touching and profound story, which is deeply loved by the audience.
The Tian Han Drama Award has been held for 35 sessions so far, the award is named after Mr. Tian Han, and was initiated in 1987 by the Drama Periodicals Alliance of six provinces and one city in East China. After 35 years of development, the award has now become an academic appraisal event sponsored by the Shanghai Theater Academy, the National Drama Periodicals Alliance, and the Tian Han Drama Award Organizing Committee, and undertaken by 25 theater journals across the country. The entries of the award are recommended by various journals and experts, which have a high artistic and academic content and have a great influence in the domestic and foreign theater circles.
