Disclosure of Feng Xuefeng's 1936 report to the Central Committee: Lu Xun sent ham to Yan'an, and sent a total of 12 to Yan'an twice. How much was sent? Did you send it?

In lu xun's memoirs, which was drafted in 1959, Lu Xun's wife, Xu Guangping, once mentioned a story: Lu Xun once sent ham to northern Shaanxi to the chairman and the leaders of the Party Central Committee.

After Xu Guangping's death, the various details in this story caused a lot of discussion in Lu Xun's research circles, and there were many doubts, and there was no consensus, some people said that they did not send it, some people said that they sent it, some people said that they not only sent it but also sent twelve, some people said that they sent it, and northern Shaanxi did not receive it...

When Lu Xun sent ham to northern Shaanxi, was it a gossip that would be suspicious of the letter, or an unexpected legend?

In 1959, 23 years after Lu Xun's death, the 61-year-old Xu Guangping wrote "Lu Xun's Memoirs", in which Xu Guangping said in the preface that it was an "eleventh" tribute work, using a "socialist style of work method", that is, Xu Guangping personally wrote, collectively discussed and revised the manuscript.

Over the years, researchers and readers have questioned many of the accounts in this book, the imprint of the text era is too strong, and many of the facts that have been argued still appear in a false way in the book.

Controversy continued because of the author's special status as Lu Xun's wife; in 1979, Lu Xun's Memoirs of Lu Xun (also known as The Fictional Lu Xun) was published by Lu Xun research expert Zhu Zheng.

This book is rigorously based on the correction of the problems existing in Xu Guangping's "Memoirs of Lu Xun", and it is worth noting that the book was completed under the guidance and help of Feng Xuefeng, who Xu Guangping called Lu Xun's research "Tongren".

In 1999, the third edition of "Lu Xun's Memoirs of Correct and Wrong" came out, and Zhou Haiying, the son of Lu Xun, wrote an article to ask Zhu Zheng, saying: "Zhu Zheng put my mother in a position of being flogged, accusing her of being 'deceived' and 'scribbling'", and Zhu Zheng wrote a reply to Zhou Haiying.

The reason why this protracted pen and ink lawsuit about "Lu Xun's Memoirs" is mentioned is because the earliest version of Lu Xun's sending ham to the chairman appeared in Xu Guangping's "Lu Xun Memoirs", and Feng Xuefeng was the person who was rumored to help Lu Xun deliver ham.

The ups and downs made Lu Xun's already unexpected gift of ham a suspicious case, and many people regarded it as a piece of gossip that was not justified. Did Lu Xun send ham to northern Shaanxi to the chairman? The answer is yes.

This story first appeared in the fourteenth chapter of Lu Xun's Memoirs, "A Small Soldier of the Party", and Xu Guangping expressed it like this:

"There was once a story circulating that Lu Xuntuo took two hams with him to northern Shaanxi and gave them to Chairman Mao and the leading comrades of the PARTY Central Committee, but when he heard that he had arrived in Xi'an, he could no longer pass through, so he had to cut them open and eat them, but when everything was opened, he found that there were still letters inside."

It can be seen from the words "rumors" and "hearsay" that although most of the big and small things in the Zhou family's life were handled by Xu Guangping as a wife, Xu Guangping also heard about sending ham to northern Shaanxi, and even she could not confirm the authenticity of the incident, and could only find another breakthrough from her text.

There is a key point of information that everyone will not ignore, that is, Xu Guangping said "entrusting people", who is entrusted, find out the person who handles it, and things will not be solved?

Xu Guangping did not name the person who handled the name, of course, it was Feng Xuefeng, who was closely related to Lu Xun.

Disclosure of Feng Xuefeng's 1936 report to the Central Committee: Lu Xun sent ham to Yan'an, and sent a total of 12 to Yan'an twice. How much was sent? Did you send it?

In April 1936, Feng Xuefeng, who had participated in the Long March from northern Shaanxi, returned to Shanghai from northern Shaanxi to manage literary and artistic work, which was also the last time of Lu Xun's life, and after Feng Xuefeng returned to Shanghai, he introduced the chairman and the party's principles and policies to Lu Xun, and Feng Xuefeng wrote a lot of ink about Lu Xun's yearning for the party and the chairman:

The knowledge of this great revolutionary genius and mentor, who was younger than him, turned his spirit into happier, younger and more humble. And when he mentioned our Party and Chairman Mao, the intimate feeling that unconsciously exuded was something that I had rarely come into contact with before, at least to a great extent."

Of course, it contains Feng Xuefeng's personal subjective interpretation, but it is enough to prove that he is an important bridge between Lu Xun and the Party Central Committee and the Chairman.

Feng Xuefeng once said in his march 1968 confession: "Shortly before Lu Xun's death, that is, at the beginning of October or the end of September 1936, I sent a Jinhua ham (lu Xun gave it to the chairman) by traffic... First transfer to Yan'an. ”

In 1972, Feng Xuefeng talked about this matter again at the Lu Xun Museum: "At that time, Lu Xun had a little money on me, so I bought a considerable Jinhua ham for Lu Xun to send to Chairman Mao, and he said it was very good. ”

There is also evidence that Feng Xuefeng once received a letter issued by the Central Committee on July 6, 1936, signed "Luopu, Enlai", which read: "Is your teacher and Brother Shen good?" Thoughts. Although the things sent by your teacher have not yet been received by the traffic relationship, we are all grateful. ”

When Xu Guangping and Feng Xuefeng wrote the confession materials, the two sides had already fallen out, but both of them mentioned the matter of sending ham, which showed that there was indeed no fraud; the letter sent by the central government to Feng Xuefeng also proved that Lu Xun did send something to Yan'an, but compared with Xu Guangping and Feng Xuefeng's accounts, many discrepancies were still found.

As mentioned earlier, Xu Guangping "heard" that he had brought two hams, and only one of them was said in Feng Xuefeng's materials, and Zhu Ping, the author of Lu Xun's Memoirs, agreed with Feng Xuefeng's statement.

Mrs. Zhou Wen recalled that Feng Xuefeng gave Zhou Wen a hundred yuan to buy something to send to northern Shaanxi, and each ham was more than ten pieces, so it was impossible to send a ham thousands of miles.

Unfortunately, she wanted to find Feng Xuefeng to recall the memories, but Feng Xuefeng died of illness, and there was no proof of death, and for a time no one could tell how many hams Lu Xun had sent to Yan'an.

Finally, in 2001, Feng Xuefeng's report to the Central Committee in May 1936 was first disclosed, which mentioned: "In addition, Lu Xun of the eight branches of Jinhua ham was given to Chairman Mao, Luopu, and Enlai."

In 2003, Feng Xuefeng's report to the Central Committee in September 1936 was disclosed: "I now know that Lu Xun gave his brother's ham to be withheld at will, which is particularly unreasonable. I talked to Lu Ru about this matter, and Lu said to send a little more, because Lu's support for Mao, Luo, En and other brothers was difficult, so I still handed over the four hams he bought to Brother Yu personally. ”

The truth was finally revealed, and Lu Xun not only sent ham to Yan'an, but also twice, two times a total of 12.

From Feng Xuefeng's report, it can be seen that Lu Xun sent ham to Yan'an twice, and the first time he was detained in Xi'an, so did the chairman of the ham sent by Lu Xun eat it for the second time?

Zhu Zhengming wrote in 1990 that after October 10, 1936, he took two hams from Shanghai to northern Shaanxi, and learned on the way that it was sent by Lu Xun, but the ham was eaten by people at the traffic station, and the incident was just before and after Lu Xun's death, Wu Liangping ate the ham.

Disclosure of Feng Xuefeng's 1936 report to the Central Committee: Lu Xun sent ham to Yan'an, and sent a total of 12 to Yan'an twice. How much was sent? Did you send it?

If according to his account, then the chairman of the ham sent by Lu Xun for the second time still could not eat it, but judging from Feng Xuefeng's report, four hams were sent for the second time, not the two he said, so his words were suspicious.

Snow's translator recalled that when they were waiting to enter northern Shaanxi in July 1936, Ma Haide had shown her the Jinhua ham that Lu Xun had entrusted to the chairman, but the second batch of hams should have been sent in October, and Snow's translated words also lacked information support.

In addition, many people who were security guards at the seat of the CPC Central Committee at that time recalled that they all ate ham sent by Lu Xun, such as Zhang Wentian's confidential secretary who said that on the afternoon of October 11 or 12, 1936, Luopu received a plate of ham, saying that it was sent by Mr. Lu Xun in Shanghai, and Luopu also distributed some to the staff.

The time that Zhang Wentianji asked the secretary to say was similar to the time zhu Zhengming said, but it was obvious that the ham was sent to Baoding, and everyone ate it.

Feng Xuefeng's report said that It was sent by Brother Yu himself, although due to the lack of information, it was impossible to verify Brother Yu's real name, but when the chairman wrote to Feng Xuefeng on October 22 to transfer Pan Hannian, he mentioned that "Zhang Wenbin has come with Yu", Brother Yu arrived, and the ham should also arrive.

But in fact, whether the chairman ate the ham sent by Lu Xun is still a confusing matter. On October 19, 1936, Lu Xun died of tuberculosis in Shanghai at the age of 55, and the bad news of Lu Xun's death instantly caused a strong earthquake throughout China, and Yan'an was of course among them.

Wang Lin, an underground traffic officer at that time, recalled in 1976 that in August 1936, he took the materials bought from various places, including books sent by Lu Xun and food such as ham, meat floss, chocolate, etc., to the security guards of the CPC Central Committee for two days. ”

First of all, the time he said about August did not match feng Xuefeng's report time, and secondly, if he misremembered the time but repeated the chairman correctly, there was also a problem.

There is still no accurate date for the time when the ham arrived at the security guard, but it is known that it was around the time of Lu Xun's death, and the chairman absolutely could not use such a relaxed and cheerful tone to say what Lu Xun sent after Lu Xun's death, leaving only Zhang Wentian's secretary to say that such a dialogue might occur around October 11 and 12.

Disclosure of Feng Xuefeng's 1936 report to the Central Committee: Lu Xun sent ham to Yan'an, and sent a total of 12 to Yan'an twice. How much was sent? Did you send it?

However, historical records prove that Lao Yu left Xi'an on October 11, and it is impossible for him to arrive at the security guard in a day, and he did not arrive at the security until about the 17th and 18th, that is, two or three days after Lu Xun's death.

Q: Did you send ham to northern Shaanxi to the chairman? A: Sent. Q: How much was sent? A: The first time there were eight, the second time there were four, a total of twelve. Q: Did the Chairman eat it? A: Historical evidence is still to be disclosed.

Probably this matter is too legendary, probably these two protagonists are too legendary, so that people regard Lu Xun's sending ham to the chairman as wild history gossip, but history is in an unexpected node to take turns, creating greatness and extraordinary, the reason why the legend has become a legend, probably so.
