In May 1936, Comrade Feng Xuefeng after the Long March found Zhou Wen through Lu Xun

　In May 1936, Comrade Feng Xuefeng came to us through Lu Xun and transferred me to the Shanghai Liaison Bureau. I began to run from Shanghai to Xi'an, from Xi'an to Shanghai, to transport documents, money, and comrades to Xi'an for security. The comrade in charge of the joint with me in Shanghai is Feng Xuefeng, and the comrade in charge of the joint in Xi'an is Liu Ding, and Comrade Wang Liren. In October, the Liaison Bureau transferred me to be the secretary of the secretariat, and I handed over the traffic work to Comrade Ding Ding, whose work was to copy and keep documents, keep the money, and connect with the traffic, etc., and also participated in Lu Xun's funeral work at that time.

　　In January and February 1937, when Comrade Wang Jiaxiang arrived in Shanghai, we were transferred to his residence, during which time, in addition to minimizing the work of the secretariat, I completed the last part of the long "Tobacco Season". After we had sent Comrade Wang Jiaxiang to the Soviet ship in May, I continued my work in the former Secretariat. Until the outbreak of the "August 13" War of Resistance.

　　In September, after the slogan of the Cultural People's Homecoming Movement was put forward, I asked to go to Chengdu. The Liaison Bureau allowed it, and after the work of the Secretariat was completed, Comrade Pan Hannian gave me a letter of introduction and went to Chengdu to find Comrade Li Yihao, who I came to Chengdu in October, and Comrade Li Yihao had gone to the New Fourth Army.

The young people of Literature and Art in Chengdu welcomed me, and I began the united front work of Chengdu's literary and art circles, and took many professors of Sichuan University, such as Zhu Guangqian, Xie Wenbing, Luo Niansheng, Bian Zhilin, Zhou Taixuan, Ye Lu, Chen Xianghe, and other school teachers, Such as He Qifang, and about 20 people, and organized a literary and art circles friendship meeting as the upper level. Dozens of local literary and artistic young people organized the Chengdu Literary and Art Circles Anti-Enemy Association, which is a lower level. Then he used all kinds of persuasion work to unify the upper and lower levels and participate in the Literary Association.

It was January and February 1938.

Comrade Luo Shiwen came to find me,—— he was informed by Comrade Pan Hannian to come to me, and he handed me over to the local party Sichuan Provincial Provisional Committee to participate in the work of the Cultural Committee.

Soon after the establishment of the Chengdu Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Cultural Committee was abolished, and I was transferred to the post of Secretary of the Literary and Art Branch under the leadership of the Municipality, whose main work was to instigate and carry out the united front movement in the literary and art circles.

Later, the Committee was changed to the Chuankang Special Committee, and the Literary and Art Branch was changed to the management of the Special Committee, and Comrade Zheng Zhuxu (6) came to attend.
