In 1921, the first telephone was installed in the Yangxin Temple. Puyi opened the phone book and called Hu Shi the first phone. Hu Shi over there received the call and was excited after knowing that it was Puyi. After the phone call, Hu Shi came to the Forbidden City to meet Puyi. After this long time, Hu Shi was still very excited. And wrote to his foreign friends about this matter.
Before the restoration, Zhang Xun met with Puyi and told him his plan for restoration. But Puyi was not willing. Later, after asking for half a day, Puyi said the reason. Zhang Xun said that after becoming emperor again, he did not need to read. Puyi happily agreed to the restoration plan.
Puyi wrote about his glasses in his autobiography. He has had severe myopia since he was a teenager and needs glasses. But this has been greatly hindered. It was not that the emperor did not look good when he wore glasses, but at that time, how could a foreign spectacle master look into the emperor's eyes so closely? Later, the Japanese invaded, and Wang Jingwei surrendered to Japan. The Japanese arranged for Wang Jingwei and Puyi to meet. In 1945, Japan surrendered and the puppet state of Manchukuo collapsed. On his way to Japan, Puyi was captured by the Red Army. During his imprisonment, Puyi wrote to Stalin requesting to live in the Soviet Union. But Stalin did not reply to him. Later, he wrote a shocking letter, applying to join the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, saying that he would be the first emperor to join the Communist Party. However, there was still no reply.
