
In order to promote the in-depth collection of cultural relics of the Fujian Revolutionary Military Museum, inherit the red gene, and spread the red culture, on the morning of August 26, the cultural relics donation ceremony of the Fujian Revolutionary Military Museum was held in Sanfang Seven Lanes, Fuzhou. Major General Song Hongxi, political commissar of the Provincial Military Region and deputy head of the Working Group for the Construction of the Military Pavilion, attended the donation ceremony and delivered a speech; Major General Shi Jianguo, deputy political commissar of the Provincial Military Region and deputy head of the Working Group for the Construction of the Military Pavilion, attended the donation ceremony.
Political Commissar Song first expressed his gratitude to the old leaders, old aunts, relatives of martyrs, descendants of the revolution, and red collectors for their generous donations, and for their concern and support for the New Fourth Army Research Association and all sectors of society. Political Commissar Song pointed out that the construction of the Fujian Revolutionary Military Museum is an important red project and a major and good thing in the political life of the party, government, military, and people in the province. This is not only a major measure to respond to President Xi Jinping's call, implement the deployment of the Central Military Commission, and implement the intentions of the provincial party committee, but also the practical need to inherit the red gene, publicize the achievements of a strong army, and popularize national defense education, and it is also an innovative move to revitalize Fujian's military and land resources, preserve history and educate people, and promote a culturally strong province.
Political Commissar Song stressed: The construction of the Fujian Revolutionary Military Museum is highly political, policy-oriented, and professional, with a long construction period and a wide range of fields involved, and it is necessary for the military and the localities to grasp and manage it together and work together to complete it. Revolutionary cultural relics, as the physical carrier and historical witness of revolutionary culture, are the "living fossils" of revolutionary military history and the "pillars" that support the construction of military museums. It is necessary to mobilize the forces of the whole society to fully carry forward the fine tradition of patriotic support for the army and selfless dedication, and actively and enthusiastically donate revolutionary cultural relics; it is necessary to strictly follow the requirements of the "Law on the Protection of Cultural Relics," strictly grasp the registration, maintenance, repair, management, and research of cultural relics, and properly excavate and display the red stories carried by cultural relics, so as to give full play to their due educational value.
At the donation ceremony, the leaders of the Fujian New Fourth Army Research Association read out the list of units and individuals donating cultural relics; the representatives of cultural relics donation introduced the basic situation of cultural relics; and the leaders of the Fujian Provincial Military and Local Leaders issued pennants and certificates to the cultural relics donors on the spot.

After the ceremony, military and local leaders and participants also visited the "Exhibition of The--- Magnificent Style of the Iron Army and the Weizhen Sea Frontier" jointly organized by the Fujian Provincial Military Museum Recruitment and Exhibition Office and the Fujian New Fourth Army Research Association.
It is understood that at present, the preparatory work for the preparation of the military museum has been fully launched, the outline of the exhibition has been preliminarily completed, more than 1,800 cultural relics have been collected, and the site selection of the venue has made significant progress. It is planned to start the construction of the main project before the end of next year, and the museum will be fully completed and opened in 2025. After the completion of the military museum, it will be opened to the public free of charge and included in the "National Defense Education Demonstration Base" and the "National Patriotism Education Demonstration Base", and will become a "big classroom" for the military and the localities to carry out all kinds of education, a "big tree" to trace the glorious course of the troops, a "big platform" for consolidating the affection of the military and the people, a "new window" for displaying Fujian's red culture, and a "punch card place" for Fujian's red tourism.
The Fujian Revolutionary Military Museum will collect revolutionary military relics from the public for a long time, mainly including cultural relics and historical materials reflecting military activities related to Fujian in ancient and modern times, cultural relics and historical materials of the CPC leading the revolutionary struggle in Fujian, and historical materials and related clues reflecting the national defense and army building, participation in local economic construction, and double support and joint construction of the troops stationed in Fujian since the founding of New China. The categories of collection include ancient and modern military categories, revolutionary activities, military combat, military history videos, military figures, honorary badges, revolutionary life, national defense construction, special tasks, and other cultural relics exhibits and historical materials that can reflect Fujian's military history, culture, and important historical events.
