Ye Maozhong is a legend, at least until I knew him, I always thought so.

Veteran smokers will not be unaware of the famous Yellow Crane Tower, which is one of the masterpieces of its planning. Before the Yellow Crane Tower became one or two of the most expensive cigarettes in China, who would have thought that it would once belong to a company facing difficulties! The title of the first person in China's marketing planning, as far as Ye Maozhong is concerned, is by no means a waste of time.

Lao Ye's marketing planning is famous all over the world, but the world does not know another Ye Maozhong, a ye Maozhong who wanders in the world of pen and ink and art, just like Ye Maozhong of the Ancient Cave Sergeant. I began to get to know Lao Ye at an auction eight years ago. At that time, a friend of mine helped Duo Yunxuan to collect a copy of "Sweeping a Thousand Armies" handwritten by Chiang Kai-shek for Zhang Zhen, which was written in a domineering and powerful manner, with a very low reserve price. My brother Tang Zhedong also has a good collection of calligraphy and paintings, which is highly recommended. At that moment, it was also agreed that less than half a million yuan would belong to me, and the above would be given to him, until he bought it.

At that time, the calligraphy of modern celebrities was far from reaching the popularity of today, and the price was not even caught by ordinary painters. The final formation of this modern celebrity calligraphy boom is very directly related to the appearance of This Chiang Kai-shek in Duo Yunxuan's field and the subsequent sun yat-sen calligraphy sky-high price.

I think that when I took this work, it was ten to nine, and after the canal material was filmed, the brother called, quite frustrated, saying that he was robbed by Ye Maozhong's two million and three hundred thousand, and he was embarrassed to fight. I asked Ye Maozhong who was it? Yun is a friend of Liu Yiqian. This was the first time I heard this name, and I couldn't help but secretly praise his vision: 2.3 million, which was also a record for Chiang Kai-shek's calligraphy at that time.

This was the beginning of my understanding of Lao Ye, and later I learned of his prominent position in the field of marketing, and I was even more surprised to learn that he was also a collector of modern calligraphy and paintings.

Lao Ye's collection, dominated by modern masters such as Fu Baoshi, Xu Beihong, and Huang Binhong, is very well-known in the circle. Many years ago, Huang Binhong's sky-high masterpiece "Small Scene of the South Peak" was auctioned by a famous auction company in the north, which was collected by him after fierce bidding, which made him famous for a while.

Later, I happened to see Liu Yiqian forward his paintings in the circle of friends, which surprised me, a small old cannon who had been rolling in the pen and ink circle for decades. Lao Ye not only painted professionally, but I could see from the few photos that he had a clear choice, or a clear insight, in the succession of teachers. In other words, Ye Maozhong is by no means a player who casually scribbles on his lyrical temperament. To put it bluntly, he was actually a painter with great ambition and a desire to meet the sages.

Lao Ye is a native of Taizhou, Jiangsu ink painting since the founding of the People's Republic of China has been greatly influenced by Fu Baoshi, especially the landscape painter, Tai Ban Qi Ling in Fu's pen and ink frenzied Xiao Scattered, quite "Guan Shaanxi soldier G Fan Kuan, Qilu shi shi Ying Qiu" legacy. Lao Ye is no exception, in the Tibetan world he is not only famous for collecting Fu paintings, but also naturally has a deep imprint on the heart of Baoshi.

Lao Ye was already skilled in the bouldering method, and he was already skilled enough to be able to mess with the truth. I once showed the part of his painting to people in the industry, and often mistakenly thought that it was pure Fu family pen and ink.

The essence of bouldering is to combine the brush and ink of Shi Tao and the Zen paintings of the Southern Song Dynasty, and to borrow the smudge of Japanese paintings, and to use scattered fronts alone to form chapters in chaos and see reason in madness. Its essence is even more to seek the chaos in the deep and smooth.

My understanding is that it is not difficult to scatter the front, it is only courageous, but the scattered front can be rude to ask for a pen, crazy and reasonable, grasp its big points, take its meaning, see the path of the virtual reality in the gathering and scattering, and finally be desperate, unexpected, but it is difficult to say, enough to be called a cutter! Can you achieve this with guts alone?

Lao Ye is well versed in this three ambiguities, he is a boulder, the loose pen is already skilled, skillful, and the rare thing is that he has not stopped here, which is enough to prove his ambition.

Lao Ye traced Back to Shi Tao, indicating that he was no longer satisfied with the formation of a family, but wanted to trace the source of the road of bouldering. He eventually tracked down Wang Meng, the ancestor of the landscape pen and ink.

Of course, this love is not a love between men and women, but refers to the importance of feelings, not bound by reason. However, the real beauty of it lies in the fact that the emotion can finally be in line with reason, and the so-called desire from the heart does not exceed the rules. Isn't this eternal theme that human beings have pursued since ancient times? However, due to the differences in each person's grasp, it has become a variety of genres in the history of thought, and the meaning of art has been achieved by the way.
