Ye Maozhong is an advertising and marketing gangster, and he is also a senior calligraphy and painting collector. At the same time, the "Ye Mao Chinese Painting Exhibition" is being held at the Shanghai Long Museum (West Bund). Curated by Mr. Liu Yiqian, the founder of the Long Museum, the exhibition presents more than 150 works, divided into four sections: Thanksgiving painting, sailing, teacher and teacher, aiming to let the audience fully understand the mind and artistic world of Ye Maozhong, who is wandering in pen and ink and creation.
Liu Yiqian wrote in the preface to the exhibition: "I have known ye Brother Maozhong's deeds for a long time, but I met him in the art auction hall. He wore a hat and a black face, and for the first time he felt like Captain Yamada, a Japanese ghost in the movie "Tunnel War" when I was a child. The Maozhong brothers are indeed a Jiangnan talent, originally only knew that he was a master planner, it was the auction that made me realize Maozhong's love for Chinese painting and calligraphy - the scale of modern Chinese paintings and calligraphy collected by the Maozhong brothers is incomparable to few people in China at present. ”
Liu Yiqian revealed that he later learned that in addition to being a master of planning the development of the enterprise and a collector, Ye Maozhong was also an excellent calligrapher and painter. His calligraphy and his paintings are worthy of the title of contemporary calligraphers and painters. Even in his illness, Ye Maozhong insisted on painting and practicing calligraphy, which made Liu Yiqian sigh, "Talent is talent."
It is reported that the 16 works presented this time will be raised at 7 p.m. on December 3 in the A Hall of the Four Seasons Hotel, and all the proceeds of this auction will be donated to the public welfare project and donated to the artist Xiangjing Studio in the name of Ye Maozhong.
