The shu han warriors peaked with four people: Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Ma Chao, and Zhao Yun. Unfortunately, their descendants are averagely capable. Guan Yu's son Guan Xing was a famous general in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, but in history, Guan Xing did not have a record of charging into the battlefield, but instead served as a supervisor, and died at the age of thirty; the legend of Guan Yu's son Guan Suo is not found in the history books. It can be seen that after the glory of the first generation of the Guan family, it fell into silence; Zhang Fei had two sons, the eldest son Zhang Bao was said to have the demeanor of a father, but died very early; the second son, Zhang Shao, was a civilian official, and the official worshiped Shu Han's servant and Shangshu servant. At the time of Liu Chan's surrender, Zhang Shao was the seal official at the surrender ceremony, and was later made a marquis at Cao Wei. The descendants of Zhang Fei's family are not erer. Looking at Eastern Wu, the situation is similar. Sun Quan's brothers died too early, so there were not many children left. Even if they stayed, they all received Suspicion from Sun Quan, so it was difficult to get ahead. Although Sun Quan's own sons were many, there were constant civil unrest, and most of them died early, leaving no traces in history. However, fortunately, there is still a Lu Xun family in Eastern Wu. Although the Lu family has literary talents, they are all famous for their martial arts. Lu Xun's younger son, Lu Kang, was hailed as the last famous general of the State of Wu. He held the military power of Eastern Wu for a long time, and whether facing Cao Wei or the later Jin Dynasty, Lu Kang did not taste defeat. His ability had reached the point where Sun Hao, the Emperor of the Daoless Sect, did not dare to move him. This point, even Lu Xun, the father who killed Guan Yu, could not reach it. Only later, Lu Kang died, Eastern Wu was destroyed, and Lu Kang's two sons failed to continue their military careers, and could only find spiritual comfort in literature.
What is the reason why most of the warlords of the Three Kingdoms are unable to form a family tradition? This is inseparable from the increasingly decaying warrior clan since the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. The Shi clan began to develop in the Spring and Autumn Period and was once an important driving force for the development of Chinese history. This also caused the Three Kingdoms of Wei Shu and Wu, no matter who wanted to develop, they had to cooperate with the local warriors. This is the root cause of the collapse of the Central Plains Dynasty in the next three hundred years.
