On October 30, Dr. Liu Minghui, former vice president of FAW Technology R&D Institute, vice president of the Electric Vehicle Branch of the Society of Automotive Engineers of China, and special allowance expert of the State Council, officially joined Xiaopeng Automobile as vice president. Previously, although Liu Minghui had worked in traditional car companies for a long time, his resume had always been related to new energy vehicles. Prior to his tenure as Vice President of FAW Technology R&D Institute, his title was director of the Automotive Electronics Department of FAW Technology Center. In addition, Liu Minghui is also the Vice President of the Electric Vehicle Branch of the Society of Automotive Engineers of China and the Leader of the China Expert Group of the Electric Vehicle Safety Regulations Working Group (EVS) of the United Nations World Vehicle Regulation Coordination Forum (un/wp29).
Liu Minghui is very concerned about the trend of the electric vehicle industry, after the introduction of the double integral "Opinion Draft", Liu Minghui once said: "China as an important market for global new energy vehicles, the implementation of the "Opinion Draft" will affect the global new energy vehicle pattern, for example, Japan's Toyota is now actively developing pure electric vehicles, and China's new energy vehicle policy has a certain relationship."
