Wang Qi is indeed still relatively young, and he is very curious to see such a scene. He said to the other side: You corrupt confucians are so good at playing?

Wang Yangming's disciple immediately took over and said, "We are like this every day under Mr. Yangming's disciples, what is so strange?" Can we Taoists be as dull as you think?
When Wang Qi listened, he was naturally more interested. After that, he finally decided to run to see Teacher Wang Yangming, listen to his lectures, and finally submit to Wang Yangming's learning.
Wang Qi's next story can be summed up in six words: eventually become a generation of masters.
After Wang Yangming's careful cultivation, Wang Qi later became one of the most famous disciples of the teacher. He devoted his life to lecturing, running around, reaching eighty, not giving up travel, and listening to everywhere he went.
Some scholars even called him: the first hero of the king's gate.
Wang Yangming's vision had to be obeyed. And such a method of attracting students is simply unheard of.

Teacher Wang Yangming obviously felt that there were not so many taboos in the method of disseminating knowledge.
In the war to quell the rebellion of Zhu Chenhao, the king of Ningning, Teacher Wang did another incredible thing.
During the war, he never forgot to lecture.
As soon as a war report came, he suspended the lecture and dealt with it on the spot.
Once, General Wu Wending and king Ning's army were in a bitter battle at Poyang Lake. After hearing the report, Wang Yangming temporarily retreated to the side seat and ordered: Kill the commander. Subsequently, Wang Yangming re-entered the seat.
At this moment, everyone could sit still, and a group of people's faces changed, and they were busy asking what had happened.
Wang Yangming replied: However, I only heard that I took a few steps back against the enemy, "This soldier is a common thing, and I don't mind enough."
Later, during his lectures, Wang Yangming came to the war report again, saying that he had captured Zhu Chenhao, the king of Ning. Wang Yangming then understood the situation, arranged the reward, and everything was done, and then returned to his seat.
At this time, everyone could not sit still, and they all looked happy and asked about the situation.
Wang Yangming then said: I just heard that King Ning has been captured, and I think the news should not be false, but unfortunately there are too many people who have died.
After speaking, Wang Yangming continued to discuss the academic topic that had just been interrupted. The tone is as usual.
Bystanders were naturally impressed.
This story is recorded in the Annals of Mr. Yang Ming and is often cited.
The emphasis of the "Annals" and the angle that everyone pays more attention to in general may be that Wang Yangming can still look as usual when the mood of others rises and falls. His spiritual cultivation is really admirable.
This is true. However, there is another layer of this account that impresses me even more.
In such a fierce war, why did Wang Yangming continue to lecture here? The thing itself is even more amazing.
Is Wang Yangming very good at time management? Or is it Wang Yangming who has won the war?
I don't think so.
The only explanation is only two words: mission.
Because it is my mission to revitalize Confucianism.
Because there is still a long way to go, the time is not waiting.
So, where I am, the school is there.
So, whenever it is, it is the time to lecture.

In fact, when King Ning had just launched a rebellion, many people did not know who would eventually die in this war.
As early as the era when Zhu Di was the King of Yan, there was an evaluation of the Good War of the King of Yan and the Good Plan of the King of Ning.
In that year, Zhu Di, the King of Yan, launched a war and won the world.
Now, why can't the descendants of King Ning become emperors?
Many court officials held a wait-and-see attitude and did not dare to explicitly say that King Ning had rebelled.
But Wang Yangming clearly did not belong to them. At that time, he was already in Ji'an, Jiangxi Province, making urgent preparations for the war. In order to confuse King Ning and win the opportunity, Wang Yangming even did not hesitate to falsely pass on the holy will and risk the disaster of exterminating the clan.
At this time, his disciple Zou Shouyi heard some news and rushed to Ji'an to tell Wang Yangming: I heard that Zhu Chenhao had bribed Ye Fang to attack Ji'an.
Ye Fang was once a thief and had previously been recruited by Wang Yangming.
Wang Yangming said: Ye Fang will certainly not rebel. A number of reasons were then given.
Zou Shouyi then said: He followed the King of Ning and could expect to be knighted. Can his behavior be inferred from common sense?
The risks and benefits of rebellion are very large. It is really difficult to speculate with common sense.
After listening, Wang Yangming was silent.
After a long time, he finally spoke.
Only one sentence was said:
The world is against the grain, and my generation should do it.
Even if the whole world is reversed, we should do the same.
There is a loud and deafening sound.
I didn't do it because I was sure I would succeed and he would fail.
I do this only because I'm sure it's the right thing to do.
This is my mission and my responsibility.
The reason why I want to teach in the Hundred Battles Army is only because the former sacred science needs me.
The reason why I had to go to great lengths to attract Wang Qi was only because I needed him academically.
The reason why I want to fight against King Ning regardless of life and death is only because this is where morality lies.
June 14, 14, Zhengde. Zhu Chenhao, the king of Ning, rebelled, and the whole world was terrified.
Forty-three days later, Wang Yangming, the inspector of Gannan Province, led his army to capture Chenhao, and the chaos subsided.
The fourteenth year of Zhengde is 1519 AD. It's been 500 years.
Five hundred years. Today, Wang Yangming's academic philosophy may not necessarily be recognized by us all; his teaching techniques and methods may not be applicable to every different teacher.
However, that sense of mission to receive future generations, that sense of responsibility for disseminating knowledge, has still not moved people in the past five hundred years.
This is the true youth mentor.
