Li Jinzi loves to read and also loves to collect books. 28 years ago, as a journalist, he first walked into the nine-room shed village in the Yimeng Mountains, and his compatriots deeply stimulated him with a sentence that "I am poor in the mountains and cannot afford to buy books". In the past 28 years, he has traveled to nine sheds 100 times, collecting reports and helping villagers read and study. After retiring, Li Jin simply transported all 120 boxes of books into the mountain village, built a college, and hid his lifelong love here to benefit the villagers.

Li Jin's glory as a journalist is associated with a nine-room shed village in a barren mountain.
The first time Li Jin came to Jiujian Village to investigate, 28 years ago, he took a travel bag of books to live in Jiujian Shan Village in Yimeng Mountain for 52 days, he read while researching. Wrote a long survey "Nine Pillars of Optimus Prime", which was approved by the central leadership. At this point, the spirit of the Nine Sheds, as the precursor of the propaganda of the Yimeng spirit, spread throughout the country. Here he went from being an interviewer to a scholar.
About the Nine Shed Village, Li Jin has written a lot and talked about it a lot, but there is one detail that he has always buried deep in his heart, and he is overwhelmed and never forgets.
The first time he came to Jiujian Village for an interview, he brought more than 20 books and a newspaper clipping. Because of indigestion from eating sweet potatoes, Li Jin fell ill. Liu Dexiang, an old party member in the village, came to see him, saw a pile of books on the table, and said to him: "You go, you are poor in the mountains, you can't afford to buy books." Li Jin said he was from Xinhua News Agency, and the old man said, "I know, I sell books." "The people in the village don't know what Xinhua News Agency is doing, and they think that Li Jin is the person who sold books in Xinhua Bookstore and died here." Li Jinhuan said, Uncle, the people in the village hate me? Liu Dexiang said, where is the word? I hurt you. The old man brought green onions, pancakes, peanuts, and wiped his tears as he left.
"I am poor in the mountains and can't afford to buy books", the words of the nine shed compatriots deeply stimulated Li Jin. Soon after Li Jin came down from the mountain, he contacted Peking University to help the villagers to study. Liu Jiakun, secretary of the party branch, with the help of his mentor Li Yining, got peking university's "Research Topic on the Road to Poverty Alleviation and Prosperity in Poor Mountainous Areas". Liu Jiakun, who has mastered the knowledge, led the nine sheds to improve their capacity in the development of rural cooperatives, honeysuckle industry, science and technology parks, rural tourism and community construction.
In the past 28 years, Li Jin has visited Jiujian Village more than 100 times, and each time he has come to live for a few days, read books and write articles. He always responded to any news or event related to the nine sheds at the first time, and he wrote more than 100 reports himself, some of which were approved by the high-level. In 2000, he wrote his first book, "The Moment of the Great Turning Point", which won the first prize for books in the Central and Southern Regions with the story of the nine sheds as an important content.
In July 2015, after retiring, Li Jin decided to take root in the nine sheds. He bought 6 houses at the top of the hill. He transported all his collection of more than 120 boxes and more than 15,000 copies to the nine sheds to settle down. These books, covering more than 30 disciplines, were purchased by Li Jin since 1965, and some of the line-bound books were collected during the ten years of turmoil and were very precious. There are also more than 200 newspaper clippings he has cut and pasted since his 20s. These books accompanied him for half his life and traveled all over the country. Now, it is filled with 6 more rooms. He hid the treasures of his life here, and the "Lee Kam Academy" also became a place for Lee Kam to study together with the nine sheds.
Li Jin took the people in the village to the academy for classes and carried out activities to popularize rural culture. He set up a WeChat group in the village to revise essays for students.
At a villagers' meeting in April 2016, Li Jin said: "How high are the mountains and how high the flowers are; how deep are the valleys, how deep the feelings are." My academy was built in nine sheds, that is, to put my roots here, here for the rest of my life. Nine sheds is my career, is my home, the fathers and villagers of the nine sheds are my relatives. I want to read these books with the old and young masters to make the nine sheds better. ”
