Movie Masters' Book of Heaven
The latest work of the 88-year-old film moguard Jean-Luc Godard. Continuing his "History of Cinema" style, Godard himself served as the narrator of the film. Through five chapters, the film is mixed with dozens of films, using montage to deconstruct and collage audiovisual language, setting up multiple sound and painting small organs, discussing degeneration and redemption in a non-linear narrative style, and drawing a grand picture of European society in the 21st century and the problems of global mobility such as the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Godard's vision expanded from Europe to the Middle East, spending two years shooting in many Arab countries on an iPhone, and directly editing videotapes, with royal editor Fabris Aragno helping him re-cut on his computer, trying to find the truth in the image. The film won the 2018 Cannes Film Festival Special Palme d'Or.

Feminist version of "The Taste of Cherries"
This film is the fourth film production in the twenty years since Iranian film master Jafa Panahi was banned from film, and pays tribute to fellow Abbas's "Taste of Cherries" and "Gone with the Wind". Adapted from a news report, Panahi spent three years writing and directing herself, telling the truth behind a video of a well-known Iranian actress and a friend director going to a remote mountain village to find a teenage girl committing suicide. The film mixes the dual narrative methods of suspense and road films, mixing fiction in the real, introspection and conspiracy, showing the integration of the traditions of ancient villages and modern civilization, and exploring the globalization of women's rights in Iran and even the world. Panahi won the Best Screenplay Award at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival for the film.

That's how Casablanca was born
1942, a pivotal year in World War II. The great director Michael Curtis is working on the most important work of his life, Casablanca, and the war, politics, studio, and illegitimate daughter all upset him... Hungary-born Michael Curtis was nominated for four Academy Awards for Best Director and eventually won the award for Casablanca. The film pays homage to the original film with black-and-white cinematography, soft jazz, and classic scenes from Casablanca, and the nostalgic texture is reminiscent of the golden age of Hollywood black-and-white films. The characters of Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart do not appear in the film, but the "cold and ruthless" Curtis and the illegitimate daughter are equally close and timid, just as heartbreaking. The film won the 2018 Montreal International Film Festival's top prize, the "American Grand Prix".

The Golden Age of South American Drug Lords
The post-80s director Ciro Guerra, who won worldwide attention for "The Snake's Embrace" and was nominated for the first Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in Colombian history, co-directed the new film "Migratory Birds" with producer Christina Gallego, which was shortlisted for the 2018 Cannes Film Festival Director's Fortnight. Featuring a frequent migratory bird in the northern colombian desert, the film refers to a drug trafficking network that traveled between ancient tribes in the South American desert and the United States in the 1960s and 1980s. The film is intended to depict the wealth and desires that modern civilization has brought to the tribe, while also bringing destruction and disaster to this mysterious land. In the film, the director takes the details of tribal culture as the index, and leads the audience into the time and space where modernity and tradition shine together with the people-friendly dramatization expression.

Healing childhood wounds with dance
Adapted from the stage play of the same name, it tells the real experience of and the film's director, writer and star Andrea Bescon who was sexually assaulted in childhood, facing the traumatic impact of her life with the victim. The very confusing title of the film tells the characteristics of children's sexual assault, but the director does not blindly "sell misery" in the film, but uses emotional modern dance expressions and black humorous joke dialogue to lead the audience to resonate; while experiencing the pain of the victim's selective oblivion, revealing the suspicion that children are ashamed to say that they do not know how to express, parents are paralyzed and even ask children for help after they become adults, which is the deep reason why child sexual assault cases continue to occur and are rarely exposed. The film was shortlisted for a kind of attention section at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival and won the César Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress.

Rebellious redhead girl growing up
Sixteen-year-old girls have an unexpected pregnancy, which makes the mother-daughter relationship in danger, what challenges will they face together, and how will they overcome? This film is a new work by Radou Montaîn ("Tuesday After Christmas"), a representative of the Romanian Film New Wave, and the iconic long shots always focus the audience's attention on the fiery red hair of the girl in question, symbolizing the girl's strong sense of self. The director skillfully leads the resonance of most of the audience to the adoptive mother who almost single-handedly brings the eldest daughter, excavates the moving points in the trivial daily life of the mother and daughter in the distinct personality and dramatic conflict, and also allows the audience to reflect on themselves and understand the flaws and weaknesses of human beings. Andra Gucy, who plays the flower girl, won the Best Actress Award at the 2018 Locarno International Film Festival.

The secret past of the female painter
Judith, a nurse from Costa Rica, was responsible for caring for Frida Carlo, a famous Mexican female painter in her later years, but when she died in her own later years, she found that Frida had left an indelible mark on her memory and thoughts. The title of the film is taken from a famous self-portrait of Frida, which also hints that Judith is entangled in Frida's "soul" in the film. The scene scheduling of the film is full of dramatic characteristics, with many seamless transitions and scenes narrated by the camera, coupled with the repeated appearance of dreams and surreal pictures, creating a strange viewing experience. Judith is played by the famous Portuguese film star Maria de Medello (Pulp Fiction), while Frida, who appears in the film, is played by the director himself.

See how the political arena plays the "big tiger"
The politician Manuel lives a life of fame and fortune, he is cautious step by step, and just when a higher political position is at his fingertips, a leak of chance has caused him to fall from the peak of his fate into the abyss, where will he go? Inspired by real events in Spanish politics, the film combines thrillers and moral dramas with realistic elements, director Rodrigo Sologotin's brilliant group portraits of insights into corruption from within the ruling class, and the outstanding acting skills of powerful actor Antonio de La Torre and the gripping soundtrack create a breathtaking suspense effect. After the release of the film, it set off a huge social response, won thirteen nominations for the Spanish Goya Award, and finally won seven awards such as best director and screenwriter.
