"Wolong Phoenix Chick, get a peace of mind." - Sima Hui
"Rolling water in the east of the Yangtze River, the waves exhaust the heroes..." The theme song of the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" TV series has accompanied many people through childhood and youth, and many people have begun to read the original work of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" because of it.
In their own way, we learned about the many historical celebrities who emerged during the Three Kingdoms period. And when we read the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", we will find that Sima Hui, the mr. of the water mirror, once said: Wolong Phoenix Chick, get a peace in the world.
Liu Bei, as the founder of the Shu Han regime, Wolong Zhuge Liang and Fengchi Pang Tong both served him, but Liu Bei was unable to unify the world in the end. Let's take a brief look at it.

Xu is because Pang Tong died relatively early, and because Pang Tong had few achievements when he was young, so the historical records of Pang Tong are not as good as Zhuge Liang.
Compared with Zhuge Liang, Pang Tong is more simple, the appearance looks very thick, if it is not Mr. Shui Jing who is good at knowing people, Pang Tong may be more obscure, it can be said that Mr. Shui Tong has created a general trend for Pang Tong's fame.
Pang Tong did not work under Liu Bei in his early years, and he once commented on the good and bad characters of Eastern Wu Lu Ji and Gu Shao, and claimed to have the talent to assist the emperor. Later, Liu Bei occupied Jingzhou, and Pang Tong tried to defend the Lingyang County Order as an engaged person.
During this period, he was deposed because he ignored the county affairs. During the dismissal, Zhuge Liang told Liu Bei about Pang Tong, and After learning that Pang Tong was the famous "Phoenix Chick", Emperor Liu decided to absorb this person into his ranks.

It has to be said that Pang Tong did have excellent personal talents, and after talking with Pang Tong, Liu Bei thought that this person would be able to help him achieve great things like Zhuge Liang, so he appointed Pang Tong as the zhizhong.
For some time after that, Liu Bei's closeness to Pang Tong was no less than that of Zhuge Liang. In 211, Fa Zheng went to Jingzhou on the orders of Liu Zhang, the pastor of Yizhou, to invite Liu Bei to enter Yizhou and reject Zhang Lu.
On the surface, Fazheng was very supportive of Liu Zhang, but privately Fazheng admired Liu Bei even more, so this person offered Liu Bei a plan, hoping that Liu Bei could take the opportunity to seek Yizhou.
Pang Tong praised this, he believed that "Jingzhou was desolate and ruined, and the characters were lost", and the most important thing was that sun quan and Cao Cao's armies were stationed in the two directions northeast of Jingzhou, which invisibly curbed the development of Jingzhou.

Instead of sticking to Jingzhou, it was better to seize Yizhou, which had fertile land and abundant products. Of course, in response to Pang Tong's opinion, Liu Bei did not adopt it at the first time, and he believed that doing so would "lose credibility in the world."
Later, Pang Tong said that it was necessary to capture Yizhou, and Liu Bei felt justified, so he ordered Zhuge Liang, Guan Yu and other towns to guard Jingzhou, while he himself led Pang Tong and led tens of thousands of soldiers into Yizhou.
The following year, Pang Tong presented Liu Bei with three more secret plans for further strategic deployment:
Select elite soldiers, day and night directly sneak attack on Chengdu, can be determined in one fell swoop, this is the upper calculation also;
Pretending to return to Jingzhou, he lured the famous Shu generals Yang Huai and Gao Pei to see him, killed them, and then marched into Chengdu, which was a plan;
Return to the White Emperor, even lead Jingzhou, and slowly enter Tuyi Prefecture, which is the next plan.

In response to these plans given by Pang Tong, Liu Bei chose the middle plan. Due to the successful killing of Yang Huai and Gao Pei in the process, Liu Bei's army did not have too much effort when capturing the towns along the way.
However, when they arrived in Fucheng, Liu Bei and Pang Tong had a verbal altercation at the banquet, but the awkward atmosphere between the two did not last long, but whether Liu Bei had discord in his heart, no one knew.
In 214, Liu Bei dispatched Zhuge Liang, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, and others to lead troops to conquer the White Emperor, Jiangzhou, and Jiangyang. Not long after that, Liu Bei successfully besieged Luocheng. Luocheng is notoriously fortified, and in order to successfully conquer Luocheng, Fa Zheng suggested:
"There is a big road in the north of the mountain, which is taking the east gate of Luocheng; there is a small road in the south of the mountain, but it takes the west gate of Luocheng: both roads can enter the army."

Pang Tong thought that this suggestion given by Fa Zheng was feasible, and then immediately suggested that Liu Bei lead his troops to take the small road south of the mountain, while he himself led his troops to the north of the mountain. Only later, due to various factors, Pang Tong was finally arranged to go to shannan trail.
And at that time, in order to attract the attention of Liu Zhang's army, Pang Tong also exchanged war horses with Liu Bei, which was equivalent to Pang Tong's need to face various encirclements and blockades of Liu Zhang's army.
As a strategist from a literati background, Pang Tong himself did not have much self-protection ability, and when the troops reached Luofengpo, Zhang Ren saw that there was a white horse rider among the people, and he believed that this person was Liu Bei who had surrounded Luocheng.
They fired a volley of arrows, causing Pang Tong to fall at Luofengpo at the age of 36. Pang Tong's death was very sad for Liu Bei, and in recognition of his merits and compensation for his family, Liu Bei appointed Pang's father as a counselor, and later promoted him to the rank of counselor.
Luo Fengpo killed Pang Tong

what Ponyot said before he died

It is worth mentioning that pang Tong was suddenly shocked when he reached Luofengpo:
"Wu Dao's number Phoenix Chick, the name of this place is Fengpo, which is not conducive to me."
He then decisively ordered the whole army to retreat, but unfortunately Zhang Ren did not give him the opportunity to retreat, and in the end Pang Tong died under the enemy's fast arrows.
Before his death, he personally handed over the map of Xichuan that Zhang Songjin had sacrificed to his cronies, hoping that this person could pass it on to Liu Bei on his behalf, and then spat out blood and said the following sentence:
"My death today is Providence!"
This sentence can be said to be Pang Tong's last words before his death, which shows that Pang Tong had predicted the end of his trip. Anyone who knows anything about ancient Chinese culture should know that the ancients attached great importance to auspicious omens.
Even now, many older generations still decide their actions the next day according to the taboos given on the calendar. Pang Tong carried the name of "Feng Chick" and naturally thought of himself after hearing "Falling Fengpo".
In the end, he was indeed shot by Zhang Ren's army, and in Pang Tong's mode of thinking, the appearance of "Luo Fengpo" was to remind himself not to choose the path, but he still firmly chose the path.
In addition, he agreed to exchange mounts with Liu Bei, which meant that the heavens did not want him to participate in the subsequent battles, so he took his life according to Shili.
However, when we jump out of this feudal stereotype thinking to observe the death of Pang Tong, we will find that the reason why Pang Tong died is inextricably linked to Liu Bei.
The so-called "capture the thief before the king", Liu Bei as the main duke is bound to be the main target of the enemy's attack, this point anyone with military command ability should know, but when Pang Tong wanted to change horses with Liu Bei, Liu Bei still agreed.
This means that although Liu Bei is very good at identifying talents and recruiting talents, he does not love talents as others think. If Liu Bei really relied heavily on Pang Tong, he should not let Pang Tong take the dangerous Shannan Trail.
Pang Tong should not be allowed to ride his own Lu horse. In addition, it is worth mentioning that after "Wolong Phoenix Chick, get a safe world", there is actually a sentence, "The son is filial piety, if one person dies, it will be difficult for the Han room to be prosperous."

These two men had been praised by Zhuge Liang, but unfortunately, they both died in front of Liu Bei at that time, and Pang Tong also died early because of Liu Bei's carelessness, which led to the weakening of the strength of the Shu Han decision-making level a lot.
Although Zhuge Liang is also an all-rounder, when he encounters a lord who is not good at using talents, he must be angry at every turn, even if he has the talent of the gods, he cannot settle the world.
In addition, when Zhuge Liang died, he also helplessly sighed:
"Fu Wen is constant in life and death, and it is difficult to escape the fixed number; death is coming, willing to be foolish: Chenliang is born with foolishness, suffers difficulties, divides and embraces the festival, is in charge of Junheng, and the Northern Expedition of the Xingshi is unsuccessful; when he is terminally ill, his life is dying, and he is not as good as His Majesty, and he drinks and hates endlessly!"
Zhuge Liang painted portrait
As the "Wolong" who was vying for power from all sides at that time, he still humbled himself with "endowed with stupidity" before his death, but the four words of "suffering from difficult times" clarified that although he met Liu Bei, he was still helpless at the right time.
And like Pang Tong, Zhuge Liang also said that his death was providential, and Liu Bei's previous wayward actions laid hidden dangers for the collapse of the Shu Han regime, which led to Liu Bei's assistance from Wolong Fengchi, but in the end he was unable to unify the world.
