In the first year of Tongzhi (1862), the treasurer of Xinyuan Zhai xiao asked Daoguang Jinshi Liu Huannian to write a six-character plaque of "On the Ancient Zhai Tibetan Painting Place", which was hung in front of the paved room opposite the door of Xinyuan Zhai. With the support of the patrons of XinyuanZhai, on the ancient gate of the city, on the ancient zhai gradually became a literati scholar visiting the glass factory "a landscape", people called it "Art Garden Gallery".

Xiao Bingyi died in the sixteenth year of Guangxu (1890). He had five sons, the eldest son, Xiao Weibang, studied calligraphy and painting appraisal and management, and the third son did honey fruit business in Xinyuanzhai . Siu Weibang has been operating the ancient fastest, from 1890 to around 1921.

Xiao Weibang was old in the early years of the Republic of China, and his fifth brother Yun Zhang assisted in the management of the ancient zhai. By the sixth year of the Republic of China (1917), the Xiao family was already a large family of dozens of sons, and the five brothers had to separate the family. Xiao Weibang died in 1921, and Xiao Yunzhang also died in 1924, and the ancient zhai was run by Xiao Shaoyun, the son of Xiao Yunzhang, but Xiao Shaoyun's eyesight to identify calligraphy and painting was not strong, and he was inexperienced and did not dare to do big business. Since Xuan Tong left the Forbidden City, he began to sit and eat the mountain air, and because of the thick bottom of the goods, he ate for 18 years, until the second year after the outbreak of the Pacific War (1942), when it was closed and closed.
