author:Literature and history know thousands of years

Yelü Hongji, the eighth emperor of the Liao Dynasty, was the father of Emperor Yelü Zongzhen of Liaoxing and his mother was Empress Xiao of Renyi. During his 46-year reign, he successively favored Xiao Ge and Yelü Yixin, two major traitors, which not only led to civil unrest, but also personally created the biggest unjust prison in Liao history, Xiao Guanyin and the Crown Prince Case, and he abolished and killed his beloved wife and son, making his relatives painful and the enemies happy. Reading it today, it is still a sigh of relief.

Yelü Hongji was the eldest son of Emperor Xingzong of Liao, and because of his status as the eldest son, his career was like riding a rocket, constantly soaring upwards. At the age of six, he was promoted to the title of King of Liang, and in the eleventh year of Chongxi, he was made the King of Yan. In the following year, he also led the Privy Counsellor of the Southern and Northern Yuans and was enfeoffed as King zhao of Yan. A few years later, he was made a marshal of the Terracotta Army, and after twenty-four years of Chongxi, this lucky man officially succeeded to the throne, historically known as Liao Daozong.

From an early age, Daozong had a steady and calm personality, and his every move was quite graceful. When Jeroboam was alive, he couldn't help but look at him differently. But just as the so-called "near Zhu is red, near ink is black", sitting on the emperor's throne, his ass has not yet sat hot, and soon from the beginning of the effort, modest and cautious, into a faint, spoiled and adulterous tyrant. The reason was that he was surrounded by a large group of traitors led by Xiao Ge.

Xiao Ge, who was favored by the emperor, acted as a blessing in the court, stirred up the good and dignified imperial court, and even the elder minister Yelü Renxian was also greatly suppressed. The chancellor Xiao Ala repeatedly exposed Xiao Ge's guilt to the emperor, and Yelü Hongji not only did not listen, but found an opportunity to strangle Xiao Ala alive.

The government is bad like this, and internal rebellion is inevitable. Yelü Hongji's uncle, Yelü Chongyuan, who was the Grand Marshal of the Terracotta Army, had always been angry about his failure to become emperor in the first place, and he found the traitor Nerugu, and the two hit it off. In July of the ninth year of Qingning, Hongji went out hunting, and Yelü Chongyuan and Nerugu thought the time was ripe and acted immediately. Perhaps the emperor's order should not be extinguished, the information of the rebellion was leaked, the rebels scattered in front of the officials, Nerugu fell from his horse and died, Yelü Chongyuan saw that the trend was gone, he had to swing his sword and wipe his neck, and the traitor Xiao Ge was also killed because of Zhu Lian. A rebellion, and so it ended.

The so-called inverted gourd up scoop. The rebellion was over, and an even greater civil strife was poised. The chancellor Yelü Yixin was greatly rewarded by Emperor Daozong for his merits in suppressing the rebellion. This person was the initiator of the biggest unjust case in the entire history of Liao, the Xiao Guanyin and the Prince Case. In the fifth year of Xianyong, Yelü Yixin was made a Taishi, and his authority in the dynasty reached its peak. Yelü Yixin was a more treacherous figure than Xiao Ge, and in the imperial court, he did his best to exclude dissidents and suppress Zhongliang's ability, and the Liao Dynasty was handed over to such a person, and the outcome could be imagined.

In yelü Yixin's eyes, there were two people who had been the biggest obstacles on his way to power—Empress Xiao Guanyin and Crown Prince Yelü Yixin (jùn).

Xiao Guanyin was a famous talented woman in the history of Liao, not only was she born in the country, her talent was renamed for a while, she was especially proficient in musical rhythms and wrote good words; and her son Yelü Mao was also loyal, courageous, upright, and all-rounder in literature and martial arts. Yerushalayim and the mother and son had long been at odds, and he had been looking for an opportunity to frame them.

The opportunity soon came. Yelü Yixin instructed the empress's attendants to frame the empress for having an affair with the servant Zhao. In order to convince Daozong of his lies, Yelü Yixin and his accomplice Zhang Xiaojie added oil and vinegar, added branches and leaves, and severely tortured Zhao Wei and innocent people in the course of the trial, forcing a false lie out of nothing into a verdict in the eternal unjust case. Perhaps dazed, Yelü Hongji ignored Yelü Hongji's crying and pleading on his knees, and ordered Xiao Guanyin to commit suicide. Poor generation of talented women, just like this hate and die.

After removing Xiao Guanyin, Yelü Yixin naturally would not let Go of Yelü Yin. He instructed his subordinates to falsely accuse the crown prince of rebellion against the emperor. Under the manipulation of Yelü Yixin's deliberate and re-arranged tactics, Yelü Hongji fainted again and again, slaughtered all the personnel in the palace, and the prince was also deposed as a shuren and imprisoned in Shangjing. Yelü Yixin re-lit the butcher's knife, and he sent people to Shangjing to kill Yelü, but reported to the emperor that the prince had died of illness.

Only at this time did the news of the prince's death stir up a little ripple in the already frozen heart lake of Daozong, and he moved a little compassion to bury his son in Longmen Mountain. Although he later hanged Jeroboam, the great mistake had already been made. In the course of the trial, he did not distinguish between loyalty and adultery, listened to rumors, was cruel and cold-blooded, and contributed to the situation, and it can be said that he personally created this unjust case, and his crime was no less than that of Yerushalayim.

The liao Daoist emperor Yelü Hongji died of illness at the age of 70. Looking back on his life, he was repeatedly swayed by villains and became accomplices of traitors to the country. He brutalized Zhongliang, killed innocents indiscriminately, and even killed his beloved wife and son, causing turmoil in the korean situation and the loss of the people's hearts, laying the seeds for the accelerated demise of the Liao state. As a monarch of a generation, he could not escape the blame.
