The second phase of China Construction Eighth Bureau Meilan International Airport was put into operation
On December 2, the second phase of Hainan Haikou Meilan International Airport, which was built by China Construction Eighth Bureau, was officially opened. Located in Haikou City, Hainan Province, the project is designed according to the international highest 4F operation level and can take off and land the world's largest passenger aircraft A380. The new T2 terminal of China Construction Eighth Bureau is the largest single split-level seismic isolation building in China, with a total construction area of about 300,000 square meters. After the second phase of Haikou Meilan International Airport is put into use, it is expected to achieve the construction target of 35 million passengers and 400,000 tons of cargo and mail throughput in 2025. With the deepening of international cooperation along the Belt and Road, Meilan Airport will boost Hainan to become a new fulcrum for land and sea trade and an important hub for jointly building the Silk Road Economic Belt.

From November 27th to 28th, the handover ceremony of the AB plot in Jinan Huashan Resettlement District 1, which was built by China Construction Eighth Bureau, represented the perfect conclusion of the eight-year resettlement housing relocation work in Huashan Area. The Jinan Huashan Area Construction Project is by far the largest shantytown renovation and demolition project in Shandong Province, involving the relocation of 25,800 people. On November 30, the main structure of the Nanjing Zhongshan Scenic Area Tourism Service Center project of China Construction Eighth Bureau was capped. The project is located on the east bank of Xuanwu Lake in Nanjing, covering an area of 55,600 square meters and a total construction area of about 71,000 square meters. As a key construction project in Nanjing, the Zhongshan Scenic Area Tourism Service Center project organically combines cultural tourism and citizens' leisure, and will be built into an urban living room showing the characteristics of Nanjing's mountains, water, city and forest, and effectively strengthen the traffic connection between purple mountain and Xuanwu Lake.
