In Shenyang, if Zhang Xueliang is mentioned, I am afraid that no one does not know, the common people often jokingly call it "a big marshal's mansion, half of the history of the Republic of China", about the various stories and rumors about the "young marshal", the most famous is the historical "Xi'an Incident", which should still be an important part of the history textbook.
But after the Xi'an Incident, he began more than fifty years of captivity, of which, during his 45 years in Taiwan, he was placed under house arrest in Hsinchu, Kaohsiung, Beitou and other places. Nearly half a century of "secluded years" is a helpless blank in the life of this legendary figure.

Nowadays, the former residence of young marshal Zhang Xueliang in Hsinchu, Taiwan, has "crossed" back to Shenyang, is it exactly the same! This Zhang Xueliang Memorial Hall is located in the Guanling Mountain Art Garden at the source of the Pu River at the intersection of Shenyang, Tieling and Fushun in Liaoning Province.

The total construction area of Zhang Xueliang Memorial Hall is about 6,000 square meters, and the exhibition area is nearly 3,000 square meters, which constitutes the largest Zhang Xueliang cultural landscape area in Northeast China, together with the surrounding Shao Shuai Mausoleum and the restored landscape of Taiwan Hsinchu Former Residence.
"Cross-Strait Four Pavilions"
In order to commemorate General Zhang Xueliang, there were previously "three museums on both sides of the strait", namely the Zhang Shuai Mansion Museum in Shenyang, the Xi'an Incident Memorial Hall, and the Former Residence Memorial Hall of Zhang Xueliang in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Nowadays, the "three museums on both sides of the strait" has become "four museums on both sides of the strait", of which Shenyang occupies two places, and you who like history can have a place to go this time!
"Most exhibits"
More than 300 exhibits are exhibited in the form of physical objects, pictures, oil paintings, reliefs, and scene restorations, involving the whole process of General Zhang Xueliang from birth to death. Among them, Zhang Xueliang's grandson Zhang Juxin directly donated more than 30 pieces, including precious items such as velvet hats worn by Zhang Xueliang and used cameras.

The exhibition hall is presented with the theme of "Heroes of Ancient Times - Zhang Xueliang's Centennial Life Exhibition", and all the physical objects and pictures in the exhibition are nearly 2,000 pieces. In particular, the marriage certificate of Zhang Xueliang and Zhao Yidi was published for the first time and was very precious.
