"A Journey Together"

The epidemic has made us more soberly aware that the fate of mankind is linked and shared. The theme of "Journey Together" expresses the hope of remaining open and inclusive to mankind, strengthening exchanges and cooperation, and creating a better life.
The themed poster was designed by British illustrator Caroline Pedler, winner of the Illustrator of the Year Awards 2020. She continues her own creative style, using a combination of hand-drawn, collaged and digital composition, and interprets her understanding of the theme with childlike brushstrokes. The children and small animals in the center of the poster surround the earth, symbolizing our shared responsibility for the planet, and the children holding the slogan "together with you" ("with you") issued an invitation to go on a journey together.
Professional Group
The annual theme of the 2021 Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award Original Illustration Exhibition Professional Group is "Common Journey", which collects works from professional illustrators around the world.
*The professional group will have an annual award, and the winner will receive a design contract worth RMB 80,000 (before tax) to provide the main visual design for the next year's "Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award Original Illustration Exhibition". *There are 20 groups of collections, and the collection fee for hand-painted physical works is 800 US dollars (before tax), and the collection fee for digital printing series works is 500 US dollars (before tax). *Outstanding works will be shortlisted for the exhibition and entered into the exhibition album.
Public group
Participants in the public group choose any of the winning works that won the "2020 Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award" to reproduce the story scenes or spiritual emotions in the book in the form of illustrations. By combining reading with painting, we advocate reading classics, encourage artistic creation, and cultivate future illustrators.
