At about 8 o'clock on February 18, when people walked to the Xishuiyuan Community of the Xicaiyuan Office in Yuquan District, they saw Yu Peng, dressed in "Navy Blue", busy registering vehicle information in and out of the community.
"From the second day of the Chinese New Year to the present, the young man came to the door of the community at 6 o'clock every morning on time to register the information of vehicles and personnel, usually without eating or drinking until the afternoon to leave the post. Working more than 8 hours a day, the day does not fall, even if the temperature is more than ten degrees below zero, it is rare to see him enter the tent to warm and drink water. When someone curiously asked about the "Navy Blue" situation, the person in charge of the community's epidemic prevention and control point said.
Diligent, conscientious, responsible, able to endure hardships, is the most people have heard of Peng's description, Yu Peng said: "This is the spirit of the 'Hohhot Ship', but also the biggest gain during my service." ”
Yu Peng, 21 years old, enlisted as a naval soldier in 2017, and after more than 3 months of recruit training and 6 months of professional training in radar of the cadet company, he officially became a soldier on the Navy's "Hohhot Ship" in June 2018. He was also the first Hohhot soldier to serve on the Hohhot ship.
"When I first got on the ship, the biggest difficulty I encountered was seasickness." Yu Peng said: When the "Hohhot warship" went to sea, its main work was to prepare for war patrols and major exercises; it usually sailed for a long time in strong winds and waves. "Since I am fortunate enough to be on the ship, I have the responsibility to win glory for Hohhot." In this way, Yu Peng gritted his teeth and finally adapted to naval life after more than a month of adaptation. On the ship, he not only learned the professional knowledge of radar, but also learned to be strong, brave and responsible, which he said was the spirit of the "Hohhot ship".
The "Hohhot Warship" has many pictures introducing the tourist attractions and customs of Hohhot City, and the comrades-in-arms know that Yu Peng is a native of Hohhot City, and will always ask him to talk about Hohhot City in his spare time, and whenever this is his proudest moment. Since the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the Hohhot Garrison District and the Municipal Veterans Affairs Bureau have successively issued the "Proposal", which has been responded to by veterans in the city. On the second day of the first lunar month, Yu Peng took the initiative to report to the Hohhot Veterans Affairs Bureau, voluntarily invited zhan to go to the front line of prevention and control, and was arranged by the Xicaiyuan Office to work in the Xishuiyuan community on the same day.
