Chen Pengnian once wrote a poem called "Tiger Hill Poem", which included sentences such as "Metabolism has been exhausted by pity and gold". Gali harbored a grudge in his heart, so as to slander Chen Pengnian as a curse on the demise of the Qing Dynasty, and he immediately arrested Chen Pengnian on the charge of treason. Fortunately, Kangxi did not blame Chen Pengnian after learning of this incident, and ordered his release, otherwise it would be a case of unjust imprisonment.
