The painting process

1. Styling

First, gently shape with a pencil and draw a large outline

Then lighten with an eraser

Finely outline the edges of leaves and veins with 170 tender green

Draw beautiful contours of waves

Outline the edges of the stem with radish with 124 rose red

2. Lay the background color

Spread the base color for the leaves with 205 lemon yellow

Use 131 skin powder to base the stem

3. Depict the leaves

Use 167 olive green to depict dark leaves

The bright spots of the leaves are temporarily white

Paint brightly colored leaves with 170 tender green

Sharpen the pen and gently outline the movement of the leaf veins

Continue to carve the leaves with 170 tender green + 167 olive green

The leaf veins are brightly painted with 205 lemon yellow

The edge of the leaf veins is dark, carved with a sharpened 170 tender green

The two leaves on the far left

Lay the base color again with 172 Earth Green

With 170 tender green + 167 olive green + 205 lemon yellow

Continue to portray these two leaves

5. Carve turnips

Next, let's draw the radish peel

Draw the dividing line of the dark part of the radish with 225 dark red

The dark edges of the stem are also outlined and emphasized by homeopathy

We use colorless needle pens/toothpicks

The root scars on the radish skin are carved out

Prepare for the later blanks

Then, use 119 light magenta to lay the base color for the radish peel

With 124 rose red + 226 deep red

Color the dark parts of each small turnip one by one

6. Depict the root whiskers of radish

We used 132 light flesh color + 103 ivory white to depict the tail of the radish

At last

Use a sharpened 182 earth brown to gently outline the shadow of the tail and root whiskers
