author:Anxi Travels

The "Treatise on Passing the Qin" has a saying: "As far as filial piety and Zhuang Xiang are concerned, the day of enjoying the country is shallow." Indeed, as he said, the two generations of monarchs of Qin Xiaowen and Zhuang Xiang only ruled for a total of four years, although the reign was short, but they also made their own contributions to the unification of the Qin state in the future. In this issue, we will briefly review the historical events during the reign of these two Qin kings.

The Zhou Dynasty was completely destroyed, and no one presided over the ancestor sacrifice anymore. When the Zhou Dynasty was about to perish, it also had seven castles: Henan, Luoyang, Gucheng, Pingyin, Yanshi, Gong, and Jiaoshi. King Xiang of Qin gave 100,000 households in Henan and Luoyang to Lü Buwei and made him the Marquis of Wenxin.

During the Warring States period, the last joint attack on Qin

The general of the State of Qin led an army to attack the State of Wei and captured both Gaodu and Ji. The Wei army was defeated one after another, and the King of Wei was very worried, so he sent people to the Zhao Kingdom to ask the Xinling Emperor Wei Wuji to return to China. Xin Lingjun was afraid of being punished for returning to China, refused to return to China, and warned his guests: "There is a death sentence that dares to inform the emissaries of the State of Wei!" So no one among the guests dared to persuade him. Mao Gong and Xue Gong went to see Xin Lingjun for this reason and said, "The princely states respect you only because the Wei kingdom still exists. The situation in the State of Wei is now critical, but you are indifferent, once the State of Qin conquers the capital of the Country, and the ancestral temple of the State of Wei is destroyed, then what face do you have to stand in the world! Before the two could finish speaking, Xin Lingjun's face changed, and he immediately urged people to prepare a car to return to Wei. When the King of Wei saw Xin Lingjun, he shook his hand and wept bitterly, and appointed him as a general. Xin Lingjun asked the princely states for assistance, and when the princely states heard that Xin Lingjun had re-served as a general of the State of Wei, they all sent troops to rescue the State of Wei. Xin Lingjun commanded the five-nation alliance to defeat the qin state's army west of the Yellow River, and Mengxiao fled. Xin Lingjun led the coalition army to pursue all the way to Hangu Pass, and drove the Qin army to Guanzhong before returning to China.

The last joint attack led by Xin Lingjun was Qin

The son of the Wei anling man was an official in the State of Qin, and the Qin people sent him to guard the city. Xin Lingjun attacked Guancheng and could not take it, so he sent someone to see An Lingjun and said to him, "If you can send Shugao to me, I will grant him the official position of The Fifth Master and make him a lieutenant." An Lingjun said, "The An Ling Kingdom is a small country, and the people do not necessarily obey my command." Or go and ask him yourself. So he sent an official to guide the emissary to the residence of The High Commander, and the messenger conveyed the will of the Emperor xinlingjun to the high- and high-ranking, and after hearing this, he said, "The emperor trusts me in this way and sends me to take charge of the city." Fathers who attack the city guarded by their sons are to be laughed at by the world. If my son sees me and abandons the city, this is an act of betrayal of his monarch, and if the father teaches his son to do such a thing, even you believe that lingjun does not like it. Thank you for your kindness, I can't accept Xin Lingjun's request. The messenger reported the matter to the Xin Lingjun. Xin Lingjun was furious, and sent emissaries to An Lingjun's residence and said: "This place of Anling is also the state of Wei, and now that I am in charge of the city, I cannot attack it many times, and the army of the state of Qin is coming to attack me, and the state of Wei is very dangerous." I hope you catch him alive and send him over! If you don't do this, I will mobilize 100,000 troops to Go to Anling City. An Lingjun said, "My ancestor Marquis Chenghou accepted the orders of King Xiang of Wei to guard this city, and King Xiang personally handed over to him the Dafa of the State of Wei, which was hidden in the Taifu. The law of the land clearly states: 'When a courtier kills the monarch, he who kills his father as a child is severely punished and never pardoned.' Even if the state is amnesty, those who surrender the city and flee from the battlefield are not pardoned. 'Now you will not accept the high-ranking officials you have conferred on you to preserve the love of their father and son, and you demand that 'I must capture Him alive and send him over', which is to make me disobey the order of King Xiang and abolish the Dafa hidden in the Taifu, even if I die, I dare not do it according to your orders!" After hearing this news, He gao said: "Xin Lingjun is fierce and strong, but he is also self-conscious, and those prevarications will definitely bring misfortune to An Lingjun." I have preserved myself, and I have not done anything against the morality of my courtiers, so how can I allow my monarch to suffer the calamities from the kingdom of Wei? So he went to the residence of the messenger of the Xinling Emperor, drew his sword and slashed his neck in front of his face and died.
