Anitama also interviewed @Ishiguro Hero Official after the event to talk about some interesting things on the set of "Ob Ultraman", what she expected from the upcoming super kabuki II version of "Judge Oguri", and what the Chinese audience wanted to say.
Mr. Ishiguro held audience meetings in Shanghai and Guangzhou last autumn, and this time in Hangzhou. First of all, I would like to ask you to talk about your feelings about the three cities of Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hangzhou.
Everyone in every city of Ishiguro is very enthusiastic, straightforward, and kind, and everyone looks at me with very innocent eyes, which makes me feel very comfortable, and now I want to come back more and more.
------------------------------------------------- For many Chinese, Oyama City has not even heard of its name, so if you recommend it to your Chinese audience and friends, how would you convey the charm of Oyama City to everyone?
Ishiguro-Oyama City is still developing, but it is still very lively near the station, there are many young people, far from the station, leisurely and quiet, people feel very relaxed, for me it is convenient to live, very comfortable place. There are also local sake and meat are also very delicious, if you like beef, you can come to try our hill Wagyu beef, the entrance is soft, very delicious.
- After acting in "Obu Ultraman", did your state of mind change a bit?
After Ishiguro acted in "Obu Ultraman", I felt that I was already a member of Ultraman. This is also my dream all along, and I hope to bring hope to everyone. After playing Ultraman, this dream came true. The children sent me a bunch of letters, and it was written that after watching my performance of "Obu Ultraman", I was refreshed and courageous. At this event, many audience friends also told me that they worship me because I am their hero. It also made me more confident than before I played Ultraman, and "Obu Ultraman" was really a big turning point in my life for me, and life was more fulfilling.
During the 1-year filming of "Obu Ultraman", did you have a deep friendship with the staff and actors on the scene?
The shooting time of Ishiguro's "Ob Ultraman" is about 10 months, through these 10 months, everyone has been like a big family, shooting almost every day, and the dialogue between the on-site staff is like family, when tired when cold and hot, everyone is in the same boat. And they also took good care of us actors and made us feel very sweet. After the filming of "Obu Ultraman", after a while, they got together again during the theatrical version of "Ged Ultraman". It's really nice to see these familiar faces. When I saw them again, it was like reuniting with my own family. I have a very good relationship with the staff and actors on the scene, and as soon as we meet, the emotions are particularly high. This is unique to Ultraman's shooting scene, and it is difficult for other works to have such an atmosphere, family-like feeling. I took the job when I was 27 years old, usually an actor in my 10s, and I played Ultraman after more than a decade of acting, so it's worth thinking about.
- What is the one thing that impressed you the most?
Ishiguro has something to say that is impressive... When I was acting, I was "invisible monsters", and when I acted, I was very special, I could see "Kamen Rider" and looked up, but on the set of "Ultraman", I had to keep my head up at the "invisible monsters", which was also an acting challenge for me. But on set, the crew would take a stick and put a ball on it and let us all look in that direction. This is the atmosphere that characterizes ultraman's shooting scene, and it also impressed me. When filming, they would let us act naturally.
In the new version of "Judge Oguri", which will be staged in October this year, you will stand on the stage of Kabuki with famous Kabuki actors such as Ichikawa Ape Nosuke and Hayato Nakamura. Are you the first time you've appeared in Kabuki? How do you feel?
Ishiguro is right, this is my first time to play Kabuki, and it is a very difficult challenge in my opinion, but I have the consciousness that I have to cross this hurdle, and then I have to start rehearsing, and I will do my best to take out all my strength to perform. In fact, I have 3 roles, which is also the first challenge for me, but this is a great opportunity, the Ghost King, the Red Ghost General and the Wandering Girl, once to play these 3 completely different roles, whether they can play their differences, as an actor I am also very much looking forward to this. It seems to be a hurry! Although it was the first challenge, I only had this feeling of expectation in my heart.
——You have appeared in 3 big river dramas and also acted in many era dramas, what is the charm of times dramas for you? Also, have you ever seen a Chinese historical drama?
As far as Ishiguro is concerned, I have always wanted to act in period dramas, in fact, there are many people who refuse to act, so there are not many people who act in period dramas. Because I was born in Japan, I have always been eager to appear in Japanese period dramas. Therefore, it is necessary to accumulate some experience from an early age, otherwise once you are old and then act, it is difficult to act without experience, and it is a shame that you cannot act, and you must accumulate it. Speaking of the charm of the era drama, for example, the gorgeous costumes in the past, and the feelings that could not be communicated through mobile phones like they are now, and that they had to be able to communicate through face-to-face, which I think is very important.
I just watched the Chinese historical drama in the hotel yesterday, and I don't know what kind of movie I watched from the middle of the way, but the decoration of the Chinese historical drama is very gorgeous, and I can feel that the staff attaches great importance to these background decorations, which is very excellent. The costumes are also very atmospheric, the overall atmosphere is perfect, and you can feel that the studio is really big.
- What role do you want to challenge in the future?
Ishiguro has a lot of them, and I most want to challenge takayama, a Catholic who was very famous in the Sengoku period, who worships the daimyo of a different culture, and also wants to play Oda Nobunaga. I also want to star in Chinese works, love works, such as roles such as international students from Japan, there is no problem in setting it.
