The Science and Technology Daily reporter learned that the live brucella vaccine (rough type) was developed by the herbivorous livestock disease team of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Research Institute of the Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the relevant units. The vaccine is currently the only live buttiform vaccine known to be able to immunize pregnant animals (cattle/sheep) by injection, which greatly improves the safety of humans and animals and does not interfere with the clinical diagnosis of cloth disease. At present, the vaccine has completed the registration review of new veterinary drugs.

The above vaccine has been developed after 13 years, and researchers first successfully screened a stable strain of brucella, and optimized the process to develop a live bacterial vaccine (rough type).
