Why not evaluate the characters of the Three Kingdoms as good men, and not the characters of the Water Margin as heroes?
In fact, there are three main reasons why these two very different evaluations appear!
First, the behavior of the characters of the Three Kingdoms and the characters of the Water Margin is very different

Li Kui, a thick man known to everyone, is a typical bully who is afraid of hardness in the original work, and he also likes to kill innocents indiscriminately, regards human life as grass, to tell the truth, he is a demonic existence, where can he be considered a good man? And there are not many people like Li Kui who kill indiscriminately, so these people can only be called good men, because one of the good men means robbers, and the people in Liangshan are robbers themselves! That's not a good word!
On the other hand, the characters of the Three Kingdoms, their personal conduct is much better than that of the people in Liangshan, at least many of them, the purpose of joining the army at the beginning was to serve the country and save the people of Li from water and fire, not to covet personal pleasures, which is a big difference between them and the people in Liangshan, typical of Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei. At that time, they were ordinary people themselves, and they could live a peaceful birthday, but in order to fight against the Yellow Turban Army, for the Kuang Fu Han Room, they came together and composed a legend, which is what a hero should do!
Second, the pattern is different
The characters of the Three Kingdoms fought and died and fought each other, but their ultimate goal was actually to unify the world and give the people of the world a peaceful and prosperous world. As for the Liangshan characters, they fought and killed in order to covet pleasure and to oppose the imperial court. Comparing the goals of the two, you will find that the pattern of these two sides is completely different, it is obvious that the pattern of the three kingdoms is larger, they are from the perspective of the world to consider the problem, this kind of person deserves the title of hero! The people in Liangshan did not stand in the perspective of the world, did not consider the problem from the perspective of the people of Limin, but only stood in Liangshan to think by themselves, and the pattern was too small in comparison.
Third, the moral standards are different
In the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, although the emperors of the Eastern Han Dynasty still exist, but the Eastern Han Dynasty has already existed in name only, judging from the moral level, the behavior of the characters of the Three Kingdoms is actually understandable, after all, the Eastern Han Dynasty has ended, their behavior is not a rebellion, on the contrary, they are still making efforts to unify the world. And in the Water Margin, the powerful Northern Song Dynasty court still exists, the world has not fallen apart, the behavior of the people of Liangshan is rebellion, this behavior in the eyes of China's traditional values, is very rebellious, so it is impossible to use the word "hero" to describe those characters in Liangshan, at most use the word "good man", it is sympathetic to their suffering, but it is not encouraged!
