Horizontal comparison of Wang Yangming's Poyang Lake and Dongxiang Heihachirō's Tsushima Strait (part 1)

In October 1472 in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, a baby was born. Just as every important person appears with his own BGM, before Wang Yangming was born, his grandmother dreamed that the immortals would carry their naked sons and set up clouds, so the child was named Wang Yun. However, the child did not show the characteristics of the dragon and phoenix in the human world as his family expected, but he could not speak until he was 5 years old.

One day, a senior monk passed by his house, touched his head, and said, "Good child, but unfortunately the road is broken." "Grandfather understands the Zen machine of the monk, "cloud" is not "say", the child named cloud, is broken by the Tao. Therefore, according to the Analects of Wei Linggong, "Knowing what is known, benevolence cannot be kept, although it is gained, it will be lost", and he was renamed "Shouren". Miraculously, after changing the name, the child can speak. Not only could he speak, but he could also recite the poems that his grandfather had read in front of him.

Later, because he had built a room in Yangmingdong, Huiji Mountain, he called himself Yang Mingzi, and scholars called him Mr. Yang Ming, also known as Wang Yang Ming. This article also follows Wang Yangming.

We all know the story of the prime minister reading for the rise of China, so it can be seen that in the process of learning, it is very important to aspire, and the so-called ambition should be high. After a childhood obsessed with chess, and after a teenager who could casually write "The Mountain House of the Moon" but did not care, Wang Yangming finally found his own ambition, that is, to be a sage.

During the reign of Emperor Yingzong, Emperor Yingzong was captured by the Mongol Vara. This incident cast a huge shadow in Wang Yangming's heart. He vowed to learn the art of war and serve his country. At the age of fifteen, he repeatedly wrote to the emperor, traveled to Juyongguan and Shanhaiguan, and personally explored the ruins of the battlefield.

In the second year of Hongzhi (1489), when Wang Yangming was eighteen years old, he returned to Yuyao with his wife Zhushi, and after passing through Guangxin, he paid homage to Lou Yu. Lou Yu taught Wang Yangming the study of Song Confucianism and told him that "a saint will learn from him", and Wang Yangming firmly believed in this. After that, he read Zhu Xi's works and pondered Song Ru's so-called theory that "things have a fine surface and a coarse surface, and every grass and tree has the ultimate reason". In order to practice Zhu Xi's "Zhi Zhi Zhi Zhi Since then, Wang Yangming has great doubts about the theory of "Grid Objects", which is the famous "ShouRen Ge Bamboo" in the history of Chinese philosophy.

In the twelfth year of Hongzhi (1499), the twenty-eight-year-old Wang Yangming participated in the examination of the Ministry of Rites and was given the seventh person of the Erjia Jinshi, the GuanZheng Gongbu. In the winter of the first year of Emperor Wuzong's reign (1506), the eunuch Liu Jin (劉瑾) was good at government and arrested more than 20 people in Nanjing, including Yushi Dai Milling. Wang Yangming was angry with Liu Jin, who was demoted to Guizhou Longchang and became a dragon stationer in Guizhou.

On the way, Wang Yangming was chased and killed by Liu Jin's people. Wang Yangming, who escaped the pursuit and killing, listened to his father's persuasion to embark on the road and came to the Guizhou Longchang where "ten thousand mountains are thick and thin, and miao and staff live together". Wang Yangming was not discouraged, and taught the locals according to customs and was loved by the people. During this period, he had a new understanding of the central idea of the University. Wang Yangming realized that "the way of the saints, I am self-sufficient, and those who seek reason for things are mistaken." During this period, he wrote "Dogma Shows the Dragon Field Of All Beings", which is known in history as "Dragon Field Enlightenment". Thus the study of the mind began to flourish.

"Mind science" is actually a branch of Confucianism, as early as the Song Dynasty, Lu Jiuyuan proposed, his "universe is my heart, my heart is the universe" is very famous, and has always been taken out as a typical representative of idealism.

Wang Yangming said that "the heart is the reason", he believes that conscience can make people understand the heavenly truth, but people's hearts are often affected by desires and external environments, so they must constantly adjust their hearts, not only to understand how people's hearts change their operations, but also to maintain conscience at all times. Compared with Lu Jiuyuan, Wang Yangming put more emphasis on pondering the psychological operation mechanism of himself and the other party.

It is precisely because of this that Wang Yangming has been revered by many people in later generations, and his ideas have influenced many politicians and military experts. In Japan, Yangmingxue was once enshrined as "Xianxue" and played an important role in the Meiji Restoration.

Japan's "god of war" Togo Heihachiro also greatly worships Wang Yangming, he enjoys the reputation of "Nelson of the East" in the world, and his motto is "bow down to Yangming all your life".

Let's return to Wang Yangming's ambitions. Today, many people have heard that there were two and a half saints in Chinese history, but before Wang Yangming, there was only one sage in Chinese history, Confucius. The second is Wang Yangming, and half is Zeng Guofan. The main reason why Wang Yangming can be compared with Confucius is because of his "mind science" ideas, but not only that.

"Zuo Chuan Xianggong Twenty-four Years": "There is merit in Taishang, followed by meritorious service, and secondly there is speech, although it has not been abolished for a long time, this is called three immortals." "Virtue, meritorious service, and speech can now be understood as the three highest standards of life, or the "trilogy" of a successful life, that is, cultivating perfect moral conduct, establishing great meritorious achievements, and establishing unique discourse. To put it bluntly, it is to be a person, to do things, to do learning. The only person in Chinese history who has achieved the "three immortals" is Wang Yangming.

In the process of quelling the rebellion of The King of Ning, Wang Yangming used the "psychology" idea he put forward in a pure way, analyzed the other party from the perspective of human nature and psychology, preset the action line of the other party, and prepared for the response in advance. This will be discussed in more detail later.
