Can Americans evaluate Deng Xiaoping completely and objectively? But when I finished reading this book, I was deeply shocked by it. This book is not like the Marxist-Leninist series I have read in the past, which contains far-reaching theoretical ideas, nor is it just a statement of historical facts like a history book or a biography of a person, which is boring and boring. The book is rich in content and detailed, and restores Deng Xiaoping's life as much as possible with a large number of historical facts, while conducting an in-depth analysis of Deng Xiaoping's personal character and ruling style, and making a complete and unique interpretation of the history of China's reform and opening up. From the end of China's Cultural Revolution to the development stage of comprehensive reform and opening up, from this book, I experienced Deng Xiaoping's unparalleled wisdom of governing the country and Deng Xiaoping's painstaking efforts to build the motherland. Today, we live in such a peaceful and stable era, I understand that this is not easy to come by, this is the motherland has worked hard for generations, as young college students, we should remember this history and be grateful.

One. In the face of danger, he was ordered to regroup

Deng Xiaoping's life path can be described as bumpy, in the 1960s and 1970s, he was twice overthrown, removed from his post at the time, but soon revived, all because of Deng's outstanding personal ability and Mao Zedong's appreciation. In July 1977, the Third Plenary Session of the 10th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China resumed Deng Xiaoping's leadership of the party, government and army. The domestic environment at that time was that the Cultural Revolution had just ended. During the Cultural Revolution, China's development stagnated or even regressed, and the whole country was in ruins, and many problems needed to be solved urgently. Deng Xiaoping was in danger and faced great challenges.

Deng Xiaoping saw that unity and stability were imperatives to help the country get back on the wrong track. Dealing with the historical issue of the "Cultural Revolution," Deng Xiaoping fundamentally negated the "Cultural Revolution" and "taking class struggle as the program," and at the same time resolutely resisted the erroneous trend of thought that negated Mao Zedong Thought. He affirmed Mao Zedong's outstanding contribution to China's revolutionary construction, and also admitted that Mao Zedong made some mistakes, but the merits outweighed the excesses. Deng Xiaoping advocated rectifying the chaos, and for those who were persecuted during the Cultural Revolution, he advocated "investigating mistakes and actively rehabilitating them." Deng Xiaoping's move, in my opinion, is a successful step for him. An objective evaluation of Mao Zedong's actions eased the struggle within the Party. Rectifying the chaos means giving an account to the people of the whole country and increasing their influence. At the same time, Deng Xiaoping paid attention to the development of productive forces and promulgated a series of policies, which diverted domestic attention. Deng Xiaoping's actions eliminated as much as possible the disasters brought to the country by the Cultural Revolution and pulled China back from the wrong path.

Two. Open the door of the country and embrace the world

When deng xiaoping is mentioned, the first thing that comes to mind is "reform and opening up." Reform and opening up can be said to have taken a big step forward in China's development. Before the reform and opening up, it was possible to describe the society at that time in one word - poor. After the reform and opening up, not only the national economy has developed rapidly, but ordinary people have also become rich, and people can afford to eat chicken, duck and fish meat!

Reform and opening up means reforming the economic system internally and opening up the door to trade. It was simple to say, but deng's decision at that time was complicated and very difficult. In particular, some veteran cadres who hold great power are even more openly opposed, "How can a socialist country take the capitalist road?" "We are a country with public ownership as the mainstay, how can we engage in private ownership?"

Words like this followed. Deng Li excluded the public opinion, and finally the policy of reform and opening up was implemented. In the end, it also proved that Deng Xiaoping was indeed far-sighted and insightful, and the spring breeze of reform blew all over the land of China, and China has developed rapidly in the past few decades.

In terms of international politics, the Soviet Union's desire for hegemony was getting higher and higher, and it had extended its claws to China. Between the various mutual restraints and mediation of international forces, Deng Xiaoping decided to establish good diplomatic relations with Japan, the United States and other countries. In the 1980s and 1990s, Deng made many friendly visits to Japan, and at the same time expressed goodwill to the United States and other Western countries. This has greatly increased China's influence in the world, and China's voice has become louder and louder.

Three. Firm faith, new era

In the early 1990s, the world situation was turbulent, and the Soviet Union, the world's largest socialist country, announced its disintegration, which brought no small impact to many socialist countries. This is arguably the most difficult challenge facing socialism in China, where the economy has slipped, prices have risen and unemployment has risen with the failure of price breaks. A series of problems also arose in the south of the early reform and opening up. At this time, this old man, who was nearly ninety years old, decided to personally take command of the southern tour and wrote a poem on the south coast of China, which completely laid the economic center for China's future development. Deng Xiaoping put forward the idea of "getting rich first and getting rich later, and finally achieving common prosperity." Taking the socialist market economy belonging to China explains the essential meaning of "capital" and "society", socialism has always served the people.

It was this old man, with his courage and boldness, who withstood the pressure, carried the banner of reform and opening up, cut through the thorns and thorns on the road of China's economic development, and once again sounded the clarion call for China's rapid economic development. This success has further strengthened China's need to take the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics and take a road suitable for itself. Neither can we blindly copy the Soviet model of socialism, nor will we completely fall to the capitalist system of the United States. Since then, China has entered a new era and has a clear direction for progress.

After reading the book "The Deng Xiaoping Era", I benefited a lot. As the book's name suggests, Deng Xiaoping was a great man who ushered in a new era and took a big step forward in China's development. As everyone knows, Deng Xiaoping's life can be described as full of twists and turns, experiencing "three falls and three ups." Despite this, Deng Xiaoping did not despair, but with his superhuman wisdom and unique personal charm, he gained a firm foothold on the political stage in China and the world. As a commentary in the book says, his authority derives not from his official office, but from his extraordinary achievements in leading the revolution to military victory, from his skillful use of power, his grandiose imagination, and the hope and awe that arouses in the hearts of men with the help of a disciplined party and controlled propaganda tools. It is precisely because of the existence of such great men that our social development is getting faster and faster, the economic level is getting higher and higher, the military level is becoming more and more developed, and the international influence is increasing day by day. As young people in the new era, we should learn from Deng Xiaoping, learn from his wisdom, and constantly strive to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
