Former Speaker of the National Assembly of South Korea, Lim Chai Jeong, was appointed Chairman of the Committee, and National Foreign Minister Hong Hyun-yeon was appointed Executive Chairman. In addition, four and 12 members of the committees on future planning, politics and diplomacy, economy and trade, and society and culture were also appointed.
The committee aims to draw up a blueprint for the development of ROK-China relations for the next 30 years on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the TWO countries. The inauguration ceremony and the first plenary meeting of the Committee on the Future Development of Korea-China Relations will be held on the 24th.
