Near the Century Avenue, Lujiazui 1885, laughter and joy resounded throughout the green space. Recently, the first commercial space drama theme activity in Pudong area, the Lujiazui Youth Drama Life Festival, was held here. The event was originally planned by Lujiazui Commercial hand-in-hand theater, mainly drama, and also contained a variety of theme cultural and artistic presentation forms such as literature, exhibitions, markets, music, etc., bringing immersive cultural experience to citizens and tourists.
When it comes to drama, most of the things that come to mind are grand theaters, elaborate stages and neat seats, and watching drama is a rare and expensive experience. Nowadays, drama breaks through the interpretive space, collides with commerce, and enters the lives of ordinary people.
The original drama "Four, Three, Two, One" by the Shanghai Drama Team was shortlisted for the special unit of the Aranya Drama Festival "Migratory Birds 300", and this time it came to Lujiazui 1885 as a special invitation exhibition. With the open lawn as the background, a chair, several prop boards, the set is simple but it is difficult to hide the dramatic tension, a pair of boys play mother and daughter, the girl plays the stepfather, the story is told in the exaggerated and deformed physical performance, memory and reality are intertwined, and the pain of the original family is revealed little by little.
Lujiazui 1885 is actually a semi-open public space enclosed by five buildings, and there are medium and high-end restaurants gathered around the central lawn. "Two Playwrights and a Little Widow" simply walks into Brut & Eatery to bring a different kind of theatrical experience, and the food is mixed with "laughing stock" to feed the audience. The ghost of a screenwriter who did nothing in the twentieth century meets a contemporary screenwriter who became famous overnight, and the three views are very different, the souls collide, and the black comedy effect is full. In the laughter, it also verified the new possibility of presenting art in the commercial space.

"We hope to create a cultural content platform for theater lovers to learn, interact with and socialize, so that they can find their original intention for theater here." The person in charge of the organizing committee of the Lujiazui Youth Drama Life Festival said.
At the Dionysian Park Theatre Workshop, young people of different professions learn the stories behind the classic repertoire, learn theatrical performance skills, and stretch their bodies to open themselves. "Whether it is a veteran of theater or a newcomer to the theatre, you can participate and experience the birth of a 'theater actor'." According to the workshop instructor, the experience of the process of interpreting the drama and performing is far more important than the result.
It is not enough to watch and learn, and the public can participate in the creation of improvisational plays. At nightfall, the actors of the 3013 Improv Comedy Workshop pushed the atmosphere of the scene to a climax, for up to 1 hour, the audience threw words to the actors, ready to open new scenes, in the unexpected lines, accidents and embarrassments were cleverly resolved, and the actors' witty remarks caused laughter on the spot, which was a unique drama completed by the audience and the actors.
The event also joined hands with the Bund Bookstore, specially invited well-known choreographers and actors to share their reading experience, and discussed the core of theatrical art around the themes of drama creation, performance and feeling experience. Li Minyuan, associate professor of Shanghai Theater Academy, served as the artistic consultant of the festival, and Wei Jiayi, founder of the drama self-media "Good Drama", served as a specially invited theater critic.
