Cynthia Nixon (born April 9, 1966 in Manhattan, New York, Usa) is an actress best known for her role as miranda Hobbes, a lawyer in Sex and the City.
Cynthia Nixon began her career as an actress at the age of 12, playing small roles in many stage plays, TV series and movies, although not famous, but her acting skills were fully honed, laying a solid foundation for her smooth future acting path. In 1998, Nixon took over the HBO series "Sex and the City", in which he played the lawyer Miranda Hobbes, which became popular with the TV series Hit Nixon. In 2004, Nixon won the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy for her performance in the sixth season of Sex and the City. Nixon then won the Emmy Award for "Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series" in 2008 for his superb acting skills, and twice won the Tony Award for Drama.
In 2006, during his performance in the play "Rabbit Hole," Nixon was diagnosed with breast cancer.
