During the Republic of China period, masters appeared frequently, and the most dazzling one was Liang Qichao.
Hu Shi praised him as "the first great hero of the revolution in our country, and his contribution was in reforming the ideological circles of our country", and even Chairman Mao commented that he was "the most appealing political commentator at that time".
Liang Qichao's family teaching legend of "one discipline and three academicians, nine sons are all talented" is still praised by people today.
In the eyes of Liang Qichao's children, his father's career achievements and the legend of tutoring are actually due to having a good "wife".
The eldest son, Liang Sicheng, once recalled:
"The mother is a person with strong perseverance, although she handles the food and clothing of a large family, she also supervises the children's learning every day, and for the early education of the children, it should be attributed to this ordinary 'mother'." Liang Qichao was able to write so many works, a large part of which was thanks to his mother for creating a harmonious and stable family for him. ”
However, what few people know is that the "mother" in Liang Sicheng's mouth is not his birth mother, but Gui quan, the king of Liang Province.

She was lonely since childhood, because he had a home
Wang Guiquan and Liang Qichao became related because of Liang Qichao's wife, Li Huixian.
Born in Guangyuan, Sichuan, Wang Guiquan was abducted and sold to other places by human traffickers since she was a child, and after several transfers, she was sold into Li Mansion.
It was not until he was selected as a dowry maid at the age of 10 and married into the Liang family with Li Huixian, who was a thousand gold in the Li Family, that Wang Guiquan's fate took a turn for the better.
After marrying into the Liang family, Li Huixian gave birth to Liang Qichao's eldest daughter Liang Sishun, eldest son Liang Sicheng, and second daughter Liang Sizhuang. But she was already delicate, and after three births, her body became weaker and weaker, and it was difficult to get pregnant.
His weak body made Li Huixian feel a little worried about his marriage.
Her hidden worries became a reality when Liang Qichao was 28 years old.
In 1900, Liang Qichao wrote to Li Huixian and confessed his new love:
After Yu returned to the apartment, he missed Hui Zhen more and more, and from the heart of respect, he gave birth to the idea of love, and he could hardly sustain himself.
Knowing that if you treat others as a bridesmaid, you should not think like this, but you can't control it.
The drunkards scattered, unable to sleep for a long time, the deer in their hearts, suddenly up and down, taking care of themselves in their lives for twenty-eight years, there has never been such a ridiculous thing.
I wonder if Hui Xian will laugh at me when she hears this, or will she annoy me? ”
After all, Li Huixian was everyone's girlfriend, she was not angry, nor flustered, but calmly replied to Liang Qichao with a letter:
"At the moment, there is no limit to monogamy, with your status status, three wives and four concubines are very normal, if you really like this woman, I tell the father-in-law to marry you back." If you don't really want to marry her, don't make yourself fascinated, take care of your body. ”
Li Huixian's reply was very cleverly written, and Liang Qichao, as the leader of the Pengshu Reform Law, had always vigorously advocated monogamy, and if ruo na was a concubine, he would renege on his word. The sentence in the letter reads, "In your position, three wives and four concubines are normal." Obviously, it is the opposite of the truth, deliberately reminding Liang Qichao to face up to his identity.
In the second half of the letter, she reminded Liang Qichao that "don't make yourself confused, it is important to take care of your body." "And perfectly showed his virtuous character."
Li Huixian's letter of soft and hard treatment made the flame of love burning in Liang Qichao's heart gradually extinguish the fire, and he took the initiative to swing his sword to cut the love thread.
Li Huixian understood that there were one and two, she would not be able to defend against love enemies every time, and it was really difficult for her body to add Ding to the Liang family, so in 1903, she took the initiative to give the 18-year-old Wang Guiquan to Liang Qichao as a room maid.
After all, Wang Guiquan is completely different from the woman Liang Qichao met outside, she has a gentle personality and will not transgress her identity; and she is from a peasant family, physically strong, able to open branches and leaves for the Liang family and make up for Li Huixian's shortcomings.
Li Huixian's vision is very accurate, Wang Guiquan gave birth to Liang Qichao's second son Liang Siyong the following year, and since then she has given birth to three sons and two daughters in succession, and she has always been the most intimate person around Li Huixian.
Liang Qichao's extramarital love accidentally allowed Wang Guiquan to enter his life, so she had a real sense of home and went to a broader life.

He was half-exiled, and she followed step by step
Wang Guiquan and Liang Qichao overtime, Liang Qichao is in exile in Japan due to the failure of the Pengshu Reform Law, she did not live a stable and peaceful life, but because of him began to displace.
When Liang Qichao cut off his braids and fled east to Japan, Li Huixian was worried that his body would drag Liang Qichao down, so he and Liang's father and others took refuge in Macao with their daughter Sishun, and asked Wang Guiquan to accompany Liang Qichao to Japan for refuge and take care of his diet and living.
During the 14 years of living in Japan, Liang Qichao could only make a living by selling literature, and his life was very poor.
However, despite the difficulties of life, Liang Qichao still did not give up his ideal of educating and saving the country, and he and his friends went around raising funds and founded the Yokohama Datong School and the Kobe Tongwen School to cultivate Chinese teenagers in Japan.
In order to share the pressure for Liang Qichao, Wang Guiquan taught himself fluent Japanese in addition to heavy housework, and was responsible for external liaison matters to help Liang Qichao's career.
Because of wang Guiquan's assistance, although Liang Qichao took refuge in Japan, during his time in Japan, he was able to insist on education to save the country, and immersed himself in studying politics, law, economics and other urgently needed studies in China to save energy for returning to China.
In 1912, Liang Qichao ended more than ten years of exile in foreign countries. After returning to Beijing, he formed the Progressive Party, served as the chief of justice and the chief of finance, and began to emerge in the political arena of the Republic of China.
But his life of exile was not over.
After Yuan Shikai's ambitions as emperor were exposed, Liang Qichao wrote a letter denouncing Yuan Shikai in August 1915, and was immediately persecuted by Yuan Shikai and had to flee from Tianjin to Shanghai.
Yuan Shikai installed many spies near Liang Qichao's residence to closely monitor Liang Qichao's whereabouts, and Liang Qichao was in danger at any time and it was inconvenient to engage in activities to please Yuan.
Wang Guiquan once again took a break from housework and contacted Yuan people across the country on behalf of Liang Qichao.
Wang Guiquan understood Liang Qichao's ambition to save the country and rejuvenate the country, and he tried his best to save the country, so she did her best to protect her family.
However, Wang Guiquan is not just a housewife, when Liang Qichao suffers setbacks, she can also become his strong backing and hold up a piece of the sky for him.
Meeting Liang Qichao is Wang Guiquan's luck; but meeting Wang Guiquan, how can it not be Liang Qichao's third life luck!

He died young, and she made her children
Liang Qichao had nine children in his lifetime, of which Liang Siyong, Liang Sizhong, Liang Sida, Liang Siyi, Liang Sining, and Liang Sili were all born to Wang Guiquan.
In 1924 and 1929, Li Huixian and Liang Qichao died of illness, most of the nine children were minors, and the youngest son Si Li was only five years old, and Wang Guiquan became the patron saint of the children.
Liang Qichao devoted his life to saving the country, and although he wrote a lot of books, he did not have much savings.
In order to maintain the livelihood of a large family, Wang Guiquan sold the old building of the Liang family, and he also went out to work odd jobs to supplement the family.
After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, she rented out the Liang family's new building, leaving only Liang Qichao's former study to store his manuscripts.
Despite the hardships of life, Wang Guiquan still did her best to provide the best education for the children of that era.
She first sent her daughter Liang Sining and son Liang Sida to Nankai University, and in 1941, she sold her property and borrowed money everywhere, sending her son Liang Sili and daughter Liang Siyi abroad for further study.
What is even more valuable is that Wang Guiquan also strives to pass on Liang Qichao's patriotism to the children, she insists on reading newspapers, listening to radio, keeping abreast of national events, and then writing letters to communicate current affairs with children studying abroad.
In the end, the children became leaders in their respective fields, and inherited their father's patriotic sentiments, although their interests were different and their majors were very different, but they all silently contributed to the motherland in their own fields of expertise.
The third daughter, Liang Siyi, went to the United States to study in 1941 and taught at American colleges and universities after graduation. When new China was founded, she immediately left the United States and returned to China to teach at universities, and later served as deputy director of the International Liaison Department of the Red Cross Society of China.
The fourth son, Liang Sida, studied in the Department of Economics of Nankai University, became a famous economist, and after the founding of New China, he served in the Central Bureau of Foreign-funded Enterprises and participated in the compilation of "Modern Economic History of China".
The fifth son, Liang Sili, studied in the United States at the age of 17 and received his doctorate at the age of 25. When he heard the news of the founding of New China on the radio, he returned to China to participate in the construction without hesitation. He successively participated in the development of New China's first missile, the first atomic bomb, the first artificial earth satellite and the first Shenzhou spacecraft, and became an important founder of China's aerospace industry.
Watching the children become adults and talents one by one, Wang Guiquan completed eighty-three years of life in 1968.
In 1995, the descendants of the Liang family erected a sleeping stele for Wang Guiquan next to the joint tomb of Liang Qichao and his wife Li Huixian, and planted a white bark pine behind the monument and named it "Mother Tree".
