I was born in Jixi City, a small border town in the northeast-northeast. I lived there until I was eighteen.
When I was in the first year of junior high school, I happened to hear a food I had never seen on TV, "Yangchun noodles", without exaggeration, I was stupid, because I was more sensitive to words since I was a child, when I heard the three words "Yangchun noodles", my heart was shocked, and it turned out that noodles could still be called such a name! In the popular saying, "cognition is completely subverted". Of course, there is another important reason is that I have been relatively hungry since I was a child, and I have never eaten food to try, and if I can't try it, I want to think about it, I love to eat and love life!
In our cold black soil, the dishes that the people of the whole country can call out are pot wrapped meat, pickled vegetable powder, slaughtered pig vegetables, chicken stewed mushrooms... These dish names are basically the names of raw materials, the taste is rich and pure, the names go straight, just like the character of our hometown people, simple and bold, compared with southern friends, it is a little less exquisite. Speaking of noodles, we have noodles with brine, noodles with fried sauce, noodles, noodles with choking pots... It is also very delicious, but just from the name of a comparison, I think Yangchun noodles are too poetic, Yangchun white snow, too graphic, simply from the name, those noodles in our hometown have completely become the lower riba noodles.
It seems that it was a movie broadcast on television, an anti-war film, I forgot the name, I remember Chairman Jiang meeting until very late, hungry, as if it was Gu Zhutong or Chen Cheng, ordered people to say: "Tell the cook to make a bowl of Yangchun noodles for the chairman of the committee according to the taste of na na (talking about a region, specifically where I forgot)"! I stared at the TV to see what kind of noodles could be sunny and white, but the camera switched to the next scene, and I sat on the side of the TV and waited, and when the play ended, the director did not agree to let me see what Yangchun noodles look like. This elegant name, coupled with the blessing of the big man, this face fascinated me for a long time. It is not an exaggeration to say that for a while, when I had a head of Yangchun noodles, and even when I had an awkward quarrel with my parents, I wanted to steal some money from my mother and leave home to eat a bowl of Yangchun noodles in the south. I don't know where to go to the south, the specific plan is to go to Harbin first, and then change to the train to the south, get on the train and then inquire where there is Yangchun noodles, I will get off there, the plan has not taken shape.
At that time, the Internet had not yet been popularized, and I lived in a small city, all kinds of disconnected, and then I forgot about this stubble.
In the autumn of 2007, when I had been working for a few years, I traveled to Suzhou on a business trip, at noon a simple meal alone, specially found a Su-style old noodle restaurant, ordered a bowl of Yangchun noodles, a few dollars do not remember, anyway very cheap, the store also recommended pork chops and green vegetables and a variety of toppings, I did not order, just want to eat Yangchun noodles, that mood is like meeting with a pen pal who has been friends for more than ten years, do not want to let others come to mix.

Most of Su Xichang's noodle restaurants are cooked in the past, watching the master put the noodles into the pot, plucking them with long chopsticks, watching the aunt mix the soup, the clouds flowing water, clean and sharp. I took a sip of soup first, it was the oil of the south, more of a super taste experience, at that moment the child in the heart of the first year was particularly satisfied.
Over the years, I have traveled to many places, eaten a lot of meals with very beautiful names, and drunk a lot of wine with very beautiful names, in the middle and outside, east and west, some worthy of the name, some are not worthy of the name, like Yangchun noodles so beautiful never met again.
