We mentioned in our previous post: "Gin, is the heart of the cocktail!" "As the most important base wine for cocktails, of course, various types of gin cocktails have also become the new favorite of the bar, but with so many gin cocktails, which ones must be drunk?" Today we're here to recommend six must-drink classic gin cocktails that you must try!
<h1 class= "pgc-h-center-line" > Gin & Tonic</h1>
Gin and tonic water are popular combinations and the first gin cocktail that most people think of. It was originally invented to treat malaria, in order to bring bitter and unpalatable quinine into the mouth, the 19th century British rationed gin to soldiers to drink, and later simply mixed gin with water, sugar, lime and quinine, and delicious gin tonic power was born. The ingredients to be prepared by Jin Tonli are:
Gin 45 ml
Lemon juice 5 ml
Tony water to taste
The preparation method is to add gin, lemon juice and ice cubes to the glass and stir slightly, then pour in the tonic water. The ratio of gin to tony water is about 1:2 to 1:3, depending on personal preference. Lemon juice is also available or not. Garnish with lemon slices, cucumber flakes or pink pepper as you prefer.
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" > Martini</h1>
Martini is known as the "King of Cocktails" instead of being a vain name, but a wide variety of mixions. But the most classic is Still Martini, just use gin and martini ganwei:
Gin 45 ml
Martini Ganwei 15 ml
Stir the two with ice cubes to cool well and pour into a Martini cup, garnishing with olive or citrus or lemon peel sprayed with peel oil.
Martini seems simple, but it is not easy to adjust to be delicious. Because only two kinds of raw materials are used that are alcoholic beverages, how to grasp the balance without letting people feel the stimulation of alcohol is a very test of skill. In addition, martini also has many different blends, such as the ratio of martini ganwei to gin from 1:3 to 1:6 or even higher, and some people may add bitter essence.
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" > Jimlet</h1>
Sour wine is a very common family of classic cocktails, and gin with lemon and syrup will turn into this "Jimlet". Methods for modulating Jimlet:
Gin 60 ml
Lemon juice 20 ml
Jimlet is made by shaking the law, early on gin with lemon juice concentrate, which is a bit like a syrup and also contains sugar. But nowadays, many bars have switched to fresh lemon juice and syrup, and the taste will be fresher and cleaner. In addition, Jimlet can also clearly drink the characteristics of gin, which is lower than martini, and is a good choice for gin and not heavy taste.
The wine was loved by the protagonist in the famous novel "The Long Parting", so it quickly became popular. The last line of the novel has a famous line "It's too early for Jimlet", which makes many people who have read the novel become Jimlet fans. In this novel, published in the early 1950s, the recipe for cocktails is one-to-one and sweeter.
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" > Negroni</h1>
Negroni is one of my favorite cocktails and has been mentioned more than once before, and the ingredients for Negrone are:
Gin 30 ml
Kimballi 30 ml
Sweet absinthe 30 ml
The three wines are blended in a 1:1:1 ratio, a bitter, sweet, herb- and heavy-wicked cocktail. The first time you drink it, it's hard to get close, but you'll slowly fall in love with its taste. Negroni is so popular that there is even a global event "Negroni Week" every year.
<h1 class= "pgc-h-center-line" > white lady</h1>
In addition to the sweetness of the Sour liquor family, orange liqueurs are also common ingredients. The white lady is gin with lemon juice and orange wine, with a neat taste, the ingredients are:
40 ml gin
30 ml Jundu wine
20 ml lemon juice
Place the ingredients and ice cubes in a shaker and shake well, then strain into an iced cocktail glass. Some of the white beauties are also made with egg whites, giving the wine a dense layer of foam. Compared with "Red Pink Lady", although the color is not so gorgeous, I am a big fan of it. Because after subtracting the pomegranate syrup and correspondingly increasing the amount of raw materials such as Jundu wine and lemon juice, its taste is more perfect in terms of sweet and sour balance than that of "Red Pink Lady".
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" > Ramos Gin Fizz</h1>
Ramos Gin Fizz is a cocktail that makes bartenders love and hate more than they love. In 1888, Henry C. Ramos invented a drink called "New Orleans Fizz" at the Imperial Cabinet Bar in New Orleans, New Orleans. Soon after, the cocktail had a new name: Ramos gin fizz, and the ingredients that Ramos Kimfils needed to prepare were:
Fresh lime juice 15 ml
Fresh lemon juice 15 ml
Syrup 30 ml
Whipped cream 60 ml
1 egg white
Orange blossom water 3 dashes
soda water
Cocktail historian Dale Degroff called it "just a sparkling version of a sour." But most bartenders don't like Ramos gin fizz when they're busy. To ensure a tight foam, it requires a 12-minute shake by a bartender, a time- and labor-intensive cocktail. So, at a weekend bar, if you see a bartender with no expression and no enthusiasm for you, it's not that he doesn't have a spirit of service... It's likely that he received 20 singles of Ramos gin fizz tonight, shaking to the point where his muscles ached and he couldn't love it.
